She really did mature beautifully. She was so young when she started in Celtic Woman, and yet her voice is still just as clear as back then. Crystal clear. Although I love the maturity in her voice now, too. She is a truly beautiful woman.

Do they lip sync in their live performances? Some of the other songs they performed in this concert led me to think this, but I'm not sure. Not sure about this song though. Idk.

@wntergirl23 Well, when they make the DVDs, the sound is dubbed over so that you get the full sound of the song and it doesn't get too quiet. In concert though, it's al live.

@wntergirl23 No, they do not lip-sync in-concert. Sitting in the front few rows, you can easily hear the performers directly. The biggest treat I had was at my second Celtic Woman concert when I sat in the second row right next to the stage and had each of them go right past me as they performed. They are indeed that flawless!

@allydrama They came to Sioux City, Des Moines, and Omaha a couple of years ago, and to Sioux Falls, South Dakota last year. This year, they are in Chicago on March 30th and 31st, in Saint Paul, Minnesota on April 1st, in Champaign, Illinois on April 3rd, and in Kansas City on April 4th. I consider myself lucky if they get within four hours driving distance from me (and I am going to see them on April 4th)

It is common for proper singers to do this. She is classically trained, and this teaches how to breathe so as to not damage your vocal cords by singing from the wrong parts of your lungs. Anyways, also consider that this video was recorded over two nights, so there will be some perceived inconsistancy.

this song is mesmerizing and chloe does is so well... but i was sad to see that it was overdubbed... at 2:40 you can see she takes a breath, but there's no breath in the audio vocal line. i really thought it was all done live.. disappointing, but still stunning!

@ellaDW There are some techniques that teach you how to sustain a note & take a breath at the same time. It's difficult to do, but it can be done. I've seen Chloe do it before, so it's not something new. It's definitely not overdubbed though.

@ellaDW If you listen to the whole song, you can hear her inhale . . . when concerts are overdubbed they do not switch from track to live in the middle of the song (too many potential problems) - they often just activate the mic for certain "spontaneous" moments. Not only is StarFyreSong's statement correct, the fact that she was raising the note may look like she is inhaling when she is not. A lot of singers change the note when they need to breathe because it can disguise breathing sounds.

Secret Garden's version is very nice, but this English version with the extra lyrics, Mairead's violin, and Chloe's exquisitely beautiful voice profoundly touches the soul and heart. I can't wait to hear this live in April!

Why not use the original lyrics of a whopping 24 words in Norwegian? Secret Garden's version is better and the violin intermezzo is close to perfect for Máiréad.

BTW, the u in Nocturne should be pronounced as a y. Nocturne is a French word describing a particular type of musical composition.

I too was at the taping of this program. The girls are all spot on. Chole, however, just takes your breath away. I listened to Ann Takle's version but it can't compare to Chole's. I have seen Chole in in a smaller venue as well and she is just perfect. She is also only 19. Her pitch is just perfect and she sang Ave Maria Acappels. (I hope I spelled that right.) Also as a roll model for other girls she is beautiful and HEALTHY looking

@gaeilge1O1 ...I saw a video where she said she had just graduated from high school last year and that she was 18. I could be wrong about her age- but really she is terrific. She hits notes Mariah, Whitney and Celine just can't hit anymore. As far as he looks She glows and wears all the outfits that the other girls wear with confidence. All the people I went to the concert with and several sitting around me remarked on this. I miss Alex from the group as well.
