I ordered some more of these since they work so well and I swear it was the fastest shipping time EVER. I order a lot of stuff from the US and nothing has ever arrived this quckly. I am in Toronto and these came from Oakland, CA. It arrived within 3 business days which in my experience is unheard of for anything coming across the border.
this is really koOl.. especially fOr mac Brushes.. well if ur lucky enOugh tO Own sum haha nOt me.. i been wanting a mac blending brush fOr the lOngest but haven`t been able tO get One =[.. i`m new at this whOle makeup thing but with that brush i think it will be easier haha
wow i made these years ago..i wish i would have had the bizz savvy to sell them like the lady did. i'd be rich lol. i made them for my paint brushes and when i got into makeup i used them for that too.
i picked up a pack online too. My complaint about them is that they slip back and forth on the brushes. It causes the brush hairs to frey a little bit. But I like putting them on my brushes after cleansing to form the shape of the brushes.
I can see that happening. What I learned is to use the smaller brush guard than the one that will actually slide up and down. This way the smaller the guard the better it will grip and not slide around so much. but otherwise I think it serves its purpose. Thanks for the comment. Take care and Happy new year!
hey it looks like the brush guards can come off your brushes easily .. is that true? i read on a forum that someone put their brushes in their make up bag and the guard moved opposite the direction of the hairs so she had more flyaways on her brush
Hello there. I myself don't carry around my brushes in my makeup bag but I can see how they can slide around. My suggestion is to buy smaller sized guards that hug tightly.I use the really small ones on my blending brushes. I hear brush guard sells them by sizes in sets now. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any other questions answered. I'll do my best.
thanks for the quick reply :) do you know approx how wide the sizes are?? im looking at the website head2toepainter gave, and im wondering what sizes to get...3/4'', 1'', etc,
Hi. Thats a really great idea I never knew they sold this kind of product. They have several sizes, what size did you buy for your brushes? I am specifically looking to buy this for my 187 and 224. Thank You
I believe the come in assorted sizes. But I think you can purchase them individually. But for the 187 & 224 i would use the small size one...not the smallest but the next size up. Iv'e had a lot of comments saying they tend to slide up and down fray the bristles so if you get them get the ones that will really hug the brushes. This will not guarantee them from sliding but it will reduce it.
Thanks for the comment and if you have any further qauestions Please ask me.
Hi Girlie! Yes for $5.50 and free shipping, its worth a try. I love them because it protect your expensive investment. They keep your brushes in shape after washing then and when your not using them. And they just simply protect from rubbing against other things if your traveling with them. I think they are a good idea.
Take care lovely! Do me a favor...would you please subscribe to me. I'm trying to get my feet wet here in youtube. I would be humbled and very greatful.
Sanitary Yes...These are made of plastic so cleaning them by inserting a toothbrush with some soapy water and gently scrubbing them would clean them out well if product would get on them.
Very informative, I ve got better idea on the size of them, thanks!

You can also buy the tube material by the foot ($.35 - $1.65)in different colors & widths. They'd make great holiday gifts!!
You Tube won't let me place a link, so here's the website and what page they're on.
Go to cableorganizer(dot)com, click on "Braided Sleeving" (drop-down menu on left), then click on "PET Colored Expandable Sleeving". (Upper left)
I love my neon pink & neon green brush guards!!

It depends what size brushes you have mostly.
If you have a variety of everything get the standeard set. But if you have mostly shader brushes the small ones work the best.

I just checked my Guard sizes and I think the smallest size would be the best size for the 187 and 224. It will grip and hold the brush much tighter.
