This game was an attempt to bring about a new hack and slash. The only reason it receives mixed reactions is because of the game play which you find repeating only sometimes. Nonetheless, the game brought a unique feature of fighting side by side with your summon as well as leveling it up in its own way. The story had its own twists, but never lost its touch. If this game had received more attention it could have spawned into something spectacular. Unfortunately, it didn't.

I LOVE the soundtracks! I know Chaos Legion was the "guinea pig" game for the studio guys to actually get familiar first and then up came with Onimusha with all their actors' faces gimmick and all that. But I prefer Chaos Legion and I know Onimusha's quality etc. is better but Chaos Legion was just pure cool noir awesome with lack of development by the team. It's like Prototype in a way. Very interesting concept & you feel cool; but just not quite there yet. So if 2's coming out, I'm BUYIN' IT!

I love the music, it's so reminiscent of DMC. Kind of sad that they didn't (or haven't yet) made a sequel to this game; the least Capcom could have done if this wasn't an option, was take the mechanics and applied it to Nero in DMC4. He could very well play like Sieg, IMO, summoning defeated bosses to fight with him. Lord knows the lack of weapons didn't help in his missions.

I would have like seeing Sieg whit more weapon than his one side blade like spears, bows or axes. because all legions are really awesome specialy Thanatos, egg and junior form doenst really fit well but when he hit Adult he show why he wears the name of the greek god.

@Dlayer7 I think that's why they didn't bother giving Sieg other weapons his Legions did most of the work for him.

But what Capcom should do is remake it have the same combat system but make Sieg have more attacks & possibly more weapons would be good too.

Also more stages to the stages where pretty long but I wanted it to be longer because I enjoyed it.

Sieg was awesome but just using the one weapon got abit annoying, but after awhile you get use to it in my opinion of course.

Chaos Legion had a much better setup than Devil May Cry ever could have hoped to accomplish. This game actually had some pretty raw shit in it, while all you do in DMC is oh I'm gonna level up my swords and guns. I still like the dmc series, but this was my favorite over it.
