intakes have nothing to do with performance its a filter on a stick that you attach to your maf an intake is an intake just like piping is piping on an exhaust except for the up and down pipes

not true at all.

if you have a filter which allows more air to pass, you have more mixture to burn, and of course more power. not much, maybe 1-2hp.

same with piping. larger diameter on a turbo engine, less backpressure->easier spool up->better performance.

otherwise, whats the point of tuning?

not sure what it is the states, but in uk there are 2 models, gs and gsr, the gs is the basic with no satnav and the gsr has the extras like multimedia pack etc. this is gs, i gotta a red gsr 300, love it!!!!!!!

in the us, we have gsr and mr

we have sss packagen for gsr which includes a bigger spoiler HID and better sound system, and navi is optional

mr we have tech package, which has everything the sss has with navi

I would actually change that cone filter. They already proved the evo x "lost awhp" with velocity stack type cones the top needs to be closed and only take air from the sides. They've seen 15-30awhp loss from velocity stack cones.

No. Not with this video. I just put one in yesterday though. Turbo Smart at 50/50 venting. It sounds great, but I might dial it down a bit. The thing sounds like its welded shut :)

no no no, dont do that, you have to detach the stock filter leaving the sensor there, or get a cold air intake with a place to put a sensor , look at my profile i have a video of my car still and you can see that sensor.
