Remember when Nola was there and Bea was on the run. The TV station was making a documentary and the department gave the women all sorts of things like make up. Then the day of the documentary the women were putting on make up. Way too much.
Colleen) You shoud see it Meg, most of them look like tarts
I don't know why they state that in Prisoner the women had no make-up!?...a fair number of them always had make-up (Peta Toppano always did and I heard her say in another interview that there was no make-up ever on the set?).
Seems I recall not just a few spats over lipstick and nail polish and what not in some of the scripts.
They had make up and a lot of them definitely looked made up!
Absolutely love this show it was great to see so many of the cast, Peta Toppano is brilliant but fans of her should check her out as the scheming Jilly Stewart in the 1985 series of Return To Eden where shes anything but sweet! Cell Block H is sorely missed, but thank goodness for the DVDs.
@bcrocker33 Funny how EastEnders and Coronation Street are thought of as serious drama in the UK. They are buried on cable TV in Australia and few people bother with them!
Thanks a million for the post. Prisoner aired in Philadelphia, pa.on channel 3 from 1979-1981 and just ended here abruptly. I NEVER imagined I'd see this show again. This was thirty odd years ago, and I have never loved any show as much as Prisoner.
Thanks but I don't want to have to watch it on my computer if I don't have to, would rather watch it on my home theater. I can just keep watching the you tube clips though that people post.
i have a HUGE screen/ monitor with surround speakers so i just hook my laptop into that and go fullscreen. it works well enough, and looks like it is on a huge screen but i know what you mean. the quality of the prisoner episodes look so clear on that screen so they are good quality if i get that from youtube alone.
actually I found a site I can download full prisoner episodes from, then burn them onto a dvd to watch on my home player...don't have to worry about it anymore on here
Theres was something very tradgic about the final minutes of Prisoner. Im a huge TV Buff, with tons of show I enjoy on a 'cult' level, yet when any of them finished (such as the Star Treks, which I adore a bit too much) none of them effected me like PCBH. Like a lot of people, I really want to see a comeback! I think it more viable than were made to think. Lol imagine a mini-series; Joan is finally released from Prison and out for revenge!
Prisoner is long over-due for a comeback... Can you imagine the premise - Joan is finally let out of prison, bent on revenge; what a great excuse to bring back classic charecters if only outside of the prison. OK it might not be able to last another 700 epz, but a nice 10-20 episode series shouldnt be impossible or hard to write! Ill do it if someone wants to pay me!!!!
yet ANOTHER rare and brilliant piece of footage on prisoner from mayiremindu, which i REALLY enojoyed. Peita toppano hardly seems to of aged in nearly 30 years lol she looks great! and so do the others. thanks so much for posting this!
I would love to see all of this, it's a shame that you put this in your description "Highlights from the as yet unreleased in its entirety On The Inside documentary" but i will keep waiting.
lol thats what idato looks like lol he does commentarys

Patsy King doesn't look much older than when she appeared on Prisoner, and she's 80 now!
