  • So in other words, an AEG would be puting out completly different numbers than this gun? Givin both have roughly the same fps to start with.

  • Is there anyway to counteract this problem? I was looking to get an mp7 but if this is a problem then I can't use it at my field.

  • @hello5893 RA tech NPAS

  • what gas do you use and did you modify it?

  • Well done btrules. (=

  • i thought its supposed to shoot aroud 380 outta the box with .2's. Mine also shoots 470 and to be honest im kinda pissed because i cant use it at any fields. and my mags were not warm. whats up with that...?

  • @nukacolamutant101

Kwa intends their guns for police also so they made their guns to shoot high. To solve the fps i would order a danger werx flute valve for the mp7 or a RA tech Npas

  • I think that with a longer tightbore barrel the results would be even more dramatic. The barrel would hug the BB better and get a better seal around it, probably boosting FPS a bit more.

  • I thought power creep relied more on the fact that the heavier BB has a higher inertia, so it takes more gas to move it. This gives it more time in the barrel be thrusted forward by the gas as long as the gas doesn't reach equilibrium with the air. The shorter the barrel the greater the effect due to the higher pressure of gas dispersed in the barrel. Due to the higher inertia, it will retain more energy in flight and strike with more joules. Makes sense to me.

  • Your welcome! lol i love watching your videos man!

  • Even still, that gun shoots pretty fast with the .2's, didn't it?

  • Very cool

  • Basically, the heavier weight maintains the energy transfer... Great vid, thanks for explaining it to us..

  • weres the m14 video? ive been waiting for that one

  • no power creep only works for small length barrel gas guns such as pistol.i saw it on google but for some reason it only worked on certain glock gas pistols.sorry couldnt give you more info and i forgot where i found it.

  • Glad to see you guys tested it out. Sorry for the confusion. When I learned of it, the person just called it power creep. Old habits die hard. :)

I think the same principle applies to AEG's, though its been awhile since i've reviewed the posts on the subject. Good luck, and looking forward to your next test results.

  • the inertia of th heavier bb make sit harder hitting

  • Yay my comments in the video, cool

  • @Xxsomebody1xX Haha yehhhh so is mine....but I'm wrong.

  • Most interesting airsoft video I've seen in the longest time.

    Thanks again, Reed...!

  • So the Mp7 is stock right?

  • Thats quite interesting. You never would think this would happen but it makes sense when you see it.

  • reed you trying to tell us something with the advert for "it gets better"

  • The reason the guy said this would work is wrong, all bbs are 6mm, unless you use 8mm bbs, so b/c a gas flows freely around the bb in the chamber actually causing less gas in the bb as the bb goes down the barrel, the longer it takes, the heavier it is, the less gas is actually in the barrel The actual reason for this is b/c to find the KE which is J, the equation is KE=mv^2, so as you increase the m, the KE goes up, btw I think your chrono is off, my results for the J were 2 J higher on average

  • @StephenBaumgarten Your forgetting that when your mass is increased, your velocity is also decreasing due to the extra amount of energy needed to get more mass to the same velocity, and since there is only a set amount of input energy. Your velocity will be decreasing, but as demonstrated by this video, not as much as the mass will be increasing.

  • @skater91411 Hmm, true, it's a strange phenomenon, like I posted on asf, I'm looking for someone to get the K and X of the spring in the gun, so I can find the PEs, then using the PEs and KE I could find Q, in a way to easier understand this.

  • Interesting stuff, as you said.

I´ll try to test it at home with my GBB´s....

    GBBR´s PoWa !

  • This same effect will not occur with electric guns. The way to get a higher fps and more joules with a gas gun is pretty much to just get a longer barrel. Electric guns as you know, are different, getting a long barrel does NOT mean it with more fps or joules of energy. This is why tanaka m700's can shoot up to 750+ fps and a "VSR Hi-capa" can shoot up to 500 fps both using green gas or propane. Longer the barrel the more time it lets the gas expand and push the bb out even faster.

  • Welcome back?

    (Hopefully)

  • This. Is. Insane. Would you please please please do this with some sort of gas sniper to give me a perspective of how much rape-age can be inflicted?
