Well there is a big change considering the current c train run by the R32 stock. Definetely a change from that. I wonder, there has been many train concept designs on BVE for the R176, R180, so i dont know. interesting

@YouAreABunghole There is the Redbird Gel Trains that can still be used. The R28 are coupled together with the R33 WF singles. These can still be used for shuttles.

@noreaga12326 The R68 would not retire. They are running them on the (G) line and the (B) line. They ran R160s on the (D) when the (N) was rerouted over the West End Exp. They currently run R160s on the (G) with the R68s. I expect to see them on the (C) [Although there are a few] and on the (B) next.

The D line is not getting the new cars either. The Q line had R68s and it was replaced with the new cars. In order for the D line to get the new cars, the R68s would have to retire and thats not gona happen AT LEAST until the late 2020 or around 2030. Someone here said that the R38s are retiring in 2017?? Dude, wake up and smell the coffee! The R38s already retired. Some of you people need to get your facts str8.

What i think the MTA should do is run the Z train to Bayparkway during both morning rush an evening rush. it would replace the Brown M an also serve customers heading to brooklyn with making all the transfers

I would like to see the R160 on both the B and D lines. That would be really awesome. Plus they should reroute the D on the Sea Beach line, and maybe now that the M line runs to Forest Hills on Weekdays, they should have the J line terminate at Bay Ridge 95th Street on both weekdays, and late nights only.

these are around 80% likely .to all these wishing for R32, R42, R44, R46, R62, R68, & R68A, there are all gonna retire in the future, these trains would all be gone completely by 2026, starting with the R46 retiring in 2015, R38 in 2017, R62 in 2023, and R68 in 2025. You can see all these trains replaced by the R142 (INT) and R143/R160 trains (BMT/IND). Also some new trains are planned. which is the R179/R211 (BMT/IND), and the R188 (INT) trains. The new trains wont be in service until at 2015.

@Dhurdle2 you need to do a bit of research because u seem like you have your facts ALL WRONG. 1st off, the R38s already retired which ran on the C line. now the C has R32s. The R32s will not retire until 2014. The B and D lines have cars that came out in the late 80s. So the R68s wont retire (EARLIEST) until like 2029.The cars have to been running for at least 40 years b4 they retire. The only thing you seem to be right on is the R46s retiring in 2015.

@4P3607 This might be real because I contacted the MTA about this. Soon in the future all the old train cars like the R38, R32, R46, and all of those types of trains will be retired and replaced with R160, R143, R142 by the end of this year, and some new cars they're constructing right now, which is the R211, R188 & R172 trains which will all be finish being constructed by 2016.
