  • It don't matter about penetration.. two three shots means assured unconsciousness or internal tear wounds..

  • juggernaut

  • Aw the 90s

  • All of you faggots are bashing a guy for saying that you have to aim for the head.

WELL IN CASE YOU ACTUALLY FACING AN ANGRY DUMMY WITH DRAGON SKIN ALL OVER, YOU WILL KEEP SHOOTING AT THE TORSO WAITING FOR A MIRACLE, RIGHT?

  • "Liquid Armor" is better and can buy all the chemicals you need off of Ebay. Soft Kevlar into Semi hard armor for dirt cheap compaired too the price of plates.

Soaking your kevlar in shear thickening fluids is a revolution in armor.

Research it, there are lots of video's and news reports/articles.

Everyone can do this, its easy. Imagine hidden level 3 armor on you at all times in states its legal too.

  • @ thistleboucher it is an FN FAL made in belgium. FAL is not the brand but the model.

  • COD fan queers: "Aim 4 tha hed u get extra pointz!"

  • its only the level III armor not even the level IV or level V dragon skin

  • meh ceramic leval 4 stadalone wil take 1-3rnds 7.62x51 and covers 25 percent of my torso

  • how many shots it can get exactly in the same spot?

  • @rafaelbdb2 how many shots can you shoot in the same spot with an assault rifle from 200 yards away when the targets moving

  • That was not dragon skin and dragon skin will stop a .308 easy. u need something much bigger and a lot of u.s army personal are going against the ban on the stuff and buying it personally and using it in the field because it just a hell of a lot better then everything else

  • He just sits there taking it! What a dummy.

  • ... why did it not show the supposed "no penetration"? cause to me, that kind of reeks of lie... there is no reason why it did not show if it had zero penetration

  • fake video

  • what a fake video...

  • yea all bad guys aim to the chest .....smh

  • @BAYAREA4150 Most "military" train to shot center mass. It is easier to hit. I bet most douchebag terrorists have no idea what they are doing.

  • If firepower no longer works, then I'll settle for plain old fire. Damn pigs!

  • it is definitely a FAL, it is .308

  • this video shows no proof of "NO PENETRATIONS" i know exactly what the 7.62x51mm cartridge fired from a G3A3 can do. you can shoot a guy hiding behind a tree, and the bullet will go on to hit another tree.

  • @al3xt3hl0nly Nope, not dragonskin! And definetely NOT a 7.62, gonna need something way bigger to penetrate this stuff! Your knowledge is not as up to scratch as you claim it to be!

  • Neat vest, but what's up with the video? It reminds me of some bad 80's action movie!

  • what kind of gun is that? i wanna say AR-10 but im probably wrong.

  • @lolrskateslol Could be some modded G3, not sure eaither

  • @Jaahaah looks more like the FN FAL

  • @lolrskateslol sorry im late with this but it is an FN FAL

  • try fmj on it ,, and see what happens

  • @767dag You can use Armor Piercing rounds, it wont go through!

  • ???

  • should have shot the dummy in the head.would have been more exciting to watch

  • I wish they would show the poor dummy after the shoot.

  • lol this is not even their best armor yet

  • steel rounds would probably pierce it Copper does not have the piercing ability of steel.

I seen a .303 steel round go through a railroad track.

  • depends on the Ammo reloads with jacketed lead will probably pierce the vest and if it didn't would leave the target bruised and dazed.

When I shoot my reloads the ground shakes up a dust storm and the muzzle energy is tad higher.

  • Aim for the head.

  • @RCinPAWA

You have played too many video games. The legs is what you'd be aiming for.

  • Depends on the weapon and the shooter. Does one aim for the legs inside a house with a shotgun? Does one aim for the legs outside in heavy brush with a rifle?

    I don't play video games.

  • There making more than vests there currently trying to make FULL body armour

  • @RCinPAWA If you had any experience with guns outside of videogames you wouldent be making that statement, but then again, you dont have any, "real" guns anyway.

  • @RCinPAWA cod fankid...

soldiers don`t aim for the head, only if there is no other chance to hit the enemy.

  • @RCinPAWA this is real life, you don't aim for the head. I'm betting you will miss

  • @realmofexcursion Oh, you. Google Mozambique Drill.

  • @RCinPAWA dragon skin helmets? YES haha

  • a 7.62 bullet hitting a vest panel would be like getting punched. either. no softly though. Muzzle energy of a 7.62x39 round is 2010 joules (and deccelarates as soon as its left the barrel) and a boxers punch is 1000+ (some quick google research, i might be wrong) but the panels have more contact surface area than a fist, so they would do about the same damage. it would be like getting punched pretty hard. which shouldnt kill you. would hit a bit harder than the recoil against the firer.

  • Yeah, but this is the 7.62x51 round. It moves a bit faster than the 7.62x39.

  • i was using 7.62x39 as an example, but yes. the 308 is more powerful. 2600 joules at muzzle velocity compared with the 2010 of the 7.62x39. it still isnt enough to kill anyone if the energy is spread over the surface area of a bulletproof panel. It would hurt like hell for sure and would definately bruise you, maybe brake a rib at worst. But it wouldnt kill you.

  • @smsambrosius id rather be bruised up with a broken rib than die wouldnt u?

  • the energy carried by the bullet isnt too much, but when that total energy is concentrated into like, the diameter of 7.62mm for instance it penetrates the skin. but when it hits a panel that it doesnt travel through all the same energy is pushed against the human across the total area of the panel, which spreads it out reduces the energy/area ratio, making it too weak at any given point under that area to puncture a human.

  • "to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction"

the amount of energy carried by the bullet is the same as the total amount of energy pushing backwards as recoil. Except the stationary inertia of the gun, the spring spreading the energy out over time and the surface area of the buttplate mean it doesnt hurt the person firing.

so if a bullet hits a panel that spans your chest it would push you back only slightly more than the recoil of the gun when it fired.

  • i have seen the armor get shot with a .50 cal and it made a massive dent on the inside. it wouldnt kill you but it would do some massive damage

  • WOW THAT IS TRULY AMAZING

  • the have level 5 to O.O

  • the government should buy this technology if they want to keep their army from dying

  • Absolutely pitiful to see troops using something worse.

  • The u.s. army denied buying them because the plates in the armor had trouble staying together in high heats such as heats found in Iraq. Can't use the armor if its falling apart

  • Yep, finally someone who knows what they talking about, sweet im not the only one.

Also it failed the Oil and Gas test as well

  • @Freedom21stCenturi Haha, its quite Ironic that the US army denied it two months before testing it, weird dont you think?

  • @francoisfaffasteyn Banned from use, not denied. And that was because Pinnacle was fraudulently labeling the armor as NIJ certified when it was not. The US Air Force brought a fraud case against Pinnacle for this as well. You don't label something as federally certified and try to pawn it off to the military when it is not. Pinnacle back-pedaled and removed the labeling until after they got their official certification.

  • dragon skin's company should just rub our goverment's faces and shoot a .50 cal barrett at it and see how much damage it can take.

  • this is SOV-1000 it wont stop AP rounds SOV-2000 won't stop to AP rounds SOV-3000 is linked with LEVEL 4 protection and LEVEL 5 protection basically when i say LEVEL 5 it can only stop 2 extra rounds Level 4 is what is mainly used the stops of MULTI rounds what has been said too stop 120+rounds VS the common level 4 plate that can only stop 6 BULLETS pinnacle armor is yet undefeated

and for people that have no knowledge the SOV is called Dragonskin and SOV has its own LEVELS non (NIJ)

  • Now lets try that with Armor Piercing cartridges

  • Well have you seen their LVL 5 dragon skin, it stoped a 40 x7.62x39mm rounds 100x 9mm rounds and also a grenade.

  • i've seen that on "future weapons"

  • And wht the hell don;t they issue this for the troops? I'd rather my tax dollers were going towards giving this to the grunts rather than an f22 that prob wont see any action. for at least 10 years.

  • it falls apart in the desert conditions. They use body armor that blocks 7.62x51 fmj though

  • ill believe anything.

  • Amazing :)

  • Way to NOT show the "no penitration"

They could have all gone through!

  • the laser was not on the rifle becus it was a pointer used by another person to tell the shooter where to shoot on the armor vest. thats the answer to the conspiracy folks.

  • yea i also see no laser on the gun. Usually with Dragon Skin you can see the "scales" on it and i dont see anything remotely close. not only that but why would they play music on a demo of this. -.- pretty sure its not added in by the person that uploaded this. just sounds cheesy all around. im not saying its not Dragon Skin, but i am saying i highly doubt it.

  • i can't find the laser on the gun that he's using to aim on the dummy...and the camera crew is obviously in the pit with the dummy, isn't it dangerous to have people in there while you're shooting

  • this aint dragon skin

  • agreed its something way better then dragon skin

  • no this is a fake

the dragon skin uses a different breast plate

  • bullshit i got this link from the fucking manufacturer's website. it is obviously dragonskin, why would they advertise another product as their own?

  • ya they say no penetration how about they show me the guys front i bet he would be dead in real life.

  • maybe not dead but knocked out

  • They should try a 7.62x54R on it and be honest about it.

  • what gun is that?

  • it a FN FAL a Belgium made gun

  • @thistleboucher alsmo made in canada, not FN, but it is an fal

  • Shows a guy firing 308, but the rounds hitting could be 9-mil for all we know, given the perspectives we see in the video.

Nice show biz, but that typically doesn't sell vests.

  • on Futureweapons they shot all sorts of ammunition at the vest and at the end put a grenade under it and still no penetration. It really is good stuff. Its like scale shaped overlapping ceramic plates covered in kevlar and other stuff. I think law enforcement is still skeptical of using it though.

  • i beleive the us army banned it aswell (from their soldiers).

  • I dont think they have banned it, but its just too damn heavy. I think a vest is around 50 lbs. Then you add in all your other gear, and its just not gonna work.

  • i'm pretty sure that the us army banned it, because it was apparently unsafe which is not at all true.

  • If Pinnacle truly wants to sell its product it should use a real person for its test. All the hype surrounding this company smells like a rat and what smells like a rat is a rat. The future of body armor is not some slick marketing scheme highlighting some juvenile gimmick for high tech lizard scales. Right now the University of Cambridge is working on a nanotube fiber that should outperform all current body armor models. It's based on real physics and not some fantasy pseudo science.

  • headshot anyone?? who aims for the chest these days...pffff

  • ...People who don't play Counter Strike?

  • do such people exist?

  • ahaha awesome reply puff... you're right, i do play cs

  • Everyone aims for the chest at distances greater than about 21 yards. The head is too hard to hit, but closer than that, you could blow a guys heart out and he could reach you - my friend is a lieutenant in charge of training in the LASD, another is a former LCOL in Delta. Besides what you may believe, a headshot is not significantly more effective than a body shot. Sure, it'll kill them faster, but try fighting with a big-ass hole in your body. Kinda painful.

  • the next type of body armor is gonna be spider web. Trust me, im not kidding. spider web is a extremely stong fiber when it is layered and woven, but it is really hard to get so it is still being tested.

  • i heard about it, but its stil only a concept, but u never know.

  • I head of that as well but like you said its hard to get or make but it be sweet to see it happen. I also heard a odd story of them trying to use skin scabs as well just like spider web when woven or put together its very strong.

  • thats true, there still just trying to stop it from stretching!, the particals dont stay together :(

  • Spider web is going to replace the soft parts of the vests, not the trauma plates.

But, yes, it is pretty awesome stuff.

  • Notice that he spread his shots out and carefully avoided shooting the same area... why is this? A 30cal. MG round will likely hit within a 2 inch group of 3 rounds. This stuff is good, but it's not perfect. Also, as the previous commenter says, what about the concussion of the round? Keep in mind that concussion grenades kill by pressure alone, no penetration necessary.

  • love you keyboard warrior know it alls

11 rounds from a .308 not penetrating is definitely an improvement over existing plate body armor

  • not trying to be a smart guy but kevlar isnt plate body armor. its a fiber woven EXTREMEMLY EXTREMELY TITELY together

  • they still put plates in them over areas where it would cause trama if hit directly

  • true dat =)

  • hmmm - dead by organ rupture?
