The key here is to give the thurifer a wide berth, and for the thurifer to not watch his own skills displayed with the thurible. Eyes straight ahead or down, with the boat close to the chest seems good form to me.

Yes... most of us would prefer the Thurifer with no pants... wait a minute...

The thurifer is also wearing tan pants... which one can see under the cassock. Would not make Our Lord and his Most Blessed Mother very pleased.
