  • oh i was fascinated with these as a kid never did get one :(

  • I remember these. The purple one was Hop-purr, the yellow one was Romp-purr, the punk one was Chirp-purr,the white one was scamp-purr,and the black one was Flop-purr. There was a dog too in the books named Ed-Grr who was the dog of the pet shop's owner kinda the bad guy of the series, he wanted to recapture them cause he hated that their crazy plan actually worked and he wanted to tease them more

  • I had those as a kid!!!

  • I had the white one lol

  • my dad just found mine and i scared when i squeezed it sounds like a motor boat then a cat purring lol, but there are real toys, although mine didn't have it's disguise with it.

  • I had the walrus. Turns out it was really just a cat. Part of me died that day.

  • lol omg I remember those

  • Wow

  • wow thats like, the best disguise ever i never knew it was a cat

  • Apparently cats were forbidden in the 1987, possibly hunted down by some sort of secret police.

  • These cats dress up as other animals.

  • This is very silly.

  • How were these things not in Toy Story 3?

  • So did Pixar make this one up too?

  • @surfingthechaos Nope. These were real. Lol.

  • @surfingthechaos

I think they're real, I saw a commercial for them in a block of old '88 commercials on YouTube.

  • THIS IS A LIE!

  • 0:19 creeped meh out a lil bit it sounds like the cat commited a murder or something

  • Well it worked for the Autobots and Decepticons...

  • @JMFabianoRPL In fact, Ravage and Steeljaw should have been Pretender Classics...just as wink-nudge to this line.

  • I remember this toy as a kid, but now I think this has got to be the dumbest toy concept ever. Aren't cats more popular as pets than the animals they're disguising themselves as? Doesn't make any sense!

  • "Eat the PurrTenders"!

  • THESE TOYS TEACH KIDS TO LIE!

  • @mansondevil33 hell yeah

  • holy shit they were cats all along!?

  • Those disguises are Stan Winston-level intricate. No wonder those little girls were fooled.

  • I still say, "Don't tell, OK? Don't worry, it'll be ourrrrr secret."

  • I remember these also ( I was 6 at the time). Didn't they also have a cartoon?

  • OMG!!! I SOOO REMEMBER THIS SHOW! I had the mouse one. My sister had the duck.

  • weve come a long way baby
