ive had the pleasure of playing side by side with this man , not only is he a true musician but also a true gentleman, innovator and i would say friend my 3 highest points in life were 1 , playing with him, 2 playing with jimmie vaughn, and 3 being on the same stage as BB king ...Ronnie peace be with you and thank you for the opp to jam with you :)
I'm a guitar player and i'm ashamed to say that until today i'd never heard of Ronnie Earl.. This guy reminds me why i love music, and why i play the guitar! Wonderful feel and great note choice. Thanks Ronnie.
it is so cool to see ronnie on this video. i have known him for over 35 years and still get a kick out of seeing him on here.
when we went to college together he was just starting to learn how to play.
we lived together in boston and thats when he really took off with his career. i was with him the night we saw muddy waters. that was the night he decided to become a dedicated blues guitarist.
Wow! This is the song that got me hooked on Ronnie. Awesome to be able to finally see him live. "Language of the Soul" is one of my go-to CDs, has been for some time now. Nice.
Sound is a bit distorted . Ronnie Earl's latest album -HOPE RADIO has a live version of this song on it . I heard some of it on the blues program- "SON OF CRAWDADDY" on RADIO 3RRR (which is streaming on the web) . Can't give the web adress here , but to find it do google search on "SON OF CRAWDADDY RRR"
Just can't get enough of this guys playing at the moment, sublime and intense at the same time, brilliant, thanks for uploading all those years ago!!

I saw Ronnie at Yoshi's in Oakland in 1997 right after the release of Colour of Love.
This was his first song and I still remember the emotional feeling when he hit the opening chords.
God bless Ronnie and the beautiful music he has brought us.
