Her voice sails up into quintessence, but her eyes and smile in some photos make her seem such a vivacious Erdgeist. I adore the tree photo in particular. Thank you, Doug, for your beautiful work. Your reverence for her is in itself a thing of beauty.
Charm personified. Gerald Moore devotes pages of his book to her bubbly personality. Who can there possibly be, on hearing her and seeing her, that is not equally swept away?
Doug...Can't blame you for being head over heels in love with her! It shows in every carefully chosen, beautifully co- ordinated, revealing photo and frame in your positively enchanting video. To pair Elizabeth Schumann's stunning voice with the Kreisler Caprice is a heavenly elixir of charm, elegance, beauty and delicate emotion. Your sensitive and seamless animation, unobtrusive pace and matchless coordination of music and visual expression is an art in itself. Bravo!
Chris: Thank you! Though in truth my collection is very, very modest, I like to think it's very, very focussed, on the singers I love, Miss Schumann a particular favorite. ALL BEST. Doug --
I had no idea this violin piece was made into a lied. Sweet it is, but sch a great voice. Absolute control and such taste. This could easily be really cheap or kitschy. She makes it authentically gemütliche. Love the slideshow! Thanks for this. Really, the pics make it a window in time. Excellent work.
Not that you're keeping track ~ yet, you've outdone yourself with this romance between a unique voice & your visual representation of the very-human singing-artist.
Dear Andy: Many thanks... it's indeed the romance, the very love of this music, the wonderful artist AND the images. Honestly? She's almost too much! BEST. Doug -
What a wonderful, vulnerable quality there is in her voice. She took a pedestrain waltz and made it into a work of quality art. And your video with the sepia toned photos added just the right amount of nostalgia to make this a seem like a gift box :)) Thank you for this treat! Rowna
My Dear Douglasio, I absolutely love this video. I love Elisabeth for her Exquisite voice and her capricious and coquettish personality as is evident by the wonderful vintage photos. I love the playfulness at 1:32.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE this Charming Song. Merci for sharing this Brilliant BIJOU.

Some singers just make you happy. Schumann is right there at the head of list. No wonder Otto Klemperer fell in love with her.
