1) There should be tax credits for insulating older homes. This will ease the energy needed to make it through the winter. There should be incentives for passive solar construction for new homes. Provide incentives for solar water heating.

2) We need to fix broken infrastructure and at the same time prevent bridges to nowhere or highways to the governor's ranch.

3) Incentives need to be given to lay fiber optic lines to schools and the surrounding neighborhoods.

5) Yes, we need to repair, maintain, and upgrade existing school buildings.  But our school district, there are 35 kids to a classroom, and there are not enough teachers and classrooms. We need more Jr Colleges

6) Insure that Hospitals are connected to the Internet? Are you kidding me? These blood-suckers have increased their fees above inflation for the last 15-20 years. They need to learn how to manage their money better. We just don't have any choices. Let them build their own Internet.

Internet connected hospitals? Most hospitals even have Wi-Fi for their guests.

If the license fees were not so terribly high for wireless carriers, then they would be much more likely to deploy Internet where it's not nearly as profitable. In other countries, wireless companies don't have to pay a huge fortune to the government to buy the airways. This allows better use of their capital and lower cost to provide the service. I think wireless companies ought to be refunded their license fees.

4. Absolutely. I live out in the country. Our school district has little or no money because of this. Our kids have to travel a long way into town to even go to a community college and can't afford the State University. How can kids today compete against India, China and Europe where college is free? We don't even have working primary schools.

1, Obama will have Federal palaces and post offices that are nicely insulated, with solar panels and energy efficient light bulbs while the rest of us get to winter out the cold in our under-insulated homes. Meanwhile, we'll be spending our money on the gas, electric and gasoline bills while government workers get a nice, comfy job. Sure it gets people working, but this kind of an investment is a one-time expenditure and not one that gets permanent jobs into the economy.

Yes. The more effective projects were not just projects to throw someone a bone, but WPA projects that started whole new industries. Near where I live, they built community center that has a swimming pool, a basketball gym and an after care. The community center has since 1938 provided jobs for life guards, basketball coaches and after care personnel.

I hope you understand what I mean by building infrastructure that provides jobs. Rather than throwing a bone, provide a life opportunity.

Exactly. So a job will be created because 1 HVAC guy in a town gets to install all the new heating and air. THe job will last a month, two months at most. This is what happens when someone with NO experience is elected by blind ignorant people who are hypnotized by pretty words.

I'm a Roman Catholic and I don't even believe the Bible 100%, or literally for that matter. It's not a book you take word for word and say "All this stuff must be true." That's why atheists despise it so much, they think it's a science book, and that Christians and Catholics take it all word for word as their own "science" or whatever.

That's not how I do it anyway.

I'm an atheist, I like the bible very much, but I read it totally differently than Christians do. The stories in the bible descended from what were known as the Ancient Mystery Schools. These were small secret societies that were in Greece, Egypt, The Middle East, and India at the time, and you'll find much of the same knowledge and core beliefs in the Mayan Indian religion. These people were on to a higher way of thinking than people today, and more advanced in other ways.
