I wish Drewseph didn't edit the rom file so it prevents me from editing Samus's suit colors in SMILE. I have this awesome color hack for SM. Blue varia suit, with a golden yellow base suit and burnt orange Varia. Looks way better.

if u still havent got it u need to jump up wile keep hold of the jump button, when you press down once then go down again to go into ball, before your second press down let go of the jump button outher wise you wont go into the ball

Jump, and while mid-air go into morph ball mode, but du NOT release the jump button. That last thing was what confused me -- it was pretty easy after realizing that. :) Still, I would have prefered if the game did not require one to do all these silly moves -- they add little to the gameplay; the same goes with having to grind those pipes for powerups all the time ...

Use DivX compression. I always use that. You may not hear audio while recording, but you'll hear it while you're on replay mode.

I'm not the author of this hack. Drewseph is. Read the video-description to the right. I'm only performing this run, and yes, it requires a emulator such as Snes9x to play this hack because it's not available on console yet.

Even using slow motion on zsnes I cannot get into ball fast enough. Im just clueless about why they would make you go through such a difficult part to get such a basic item used in those situations like the bomb.

Near the end you shoot away some breakable blocks, then jump morph mid jump and get into a "vent" style area up above. I know you're doing this tool assisted but since that seems to be necessary for the hack, how the heck do you do that in real-time? Whenever I morph I'm where samus' lower half was. I can't figure out how you're supposed to do this or get past that lava area.

Wow, okay, you just have to go into morphball mid-jump and let the momentum carry you. It's just a weird combo of buttons - you have to hold jump throughout even though that normally cancels morph, stop pressing forward, double down as soon as possible, then press forward again so you get momentum to go into the hole. Whacky.

Could someone spill the secret on how to do ultra-hyper fast wall jumps? Basically it is essential to use it to get back to the ship after beating the spawn guy to get your bombs, but I can't do the old-fashioned wall-jump on normal walls in this redesign. Anyone?? HELP!!

There is no secret. Just jump and then when you hit the wall press jump again in the opposite direction.

One question to ask about super metroid redesign. About the lost cavern to find that phantoon ghost to get a gravity suit. How do you suppose to know which direction do you suppose to go? I got support from the complete video speed run thanks to Drewseph. Lets see, the direction are up,up,left,down,right,right, down, left, up, right, and then you'll find a door. Really, where can you find this information without looking through the internet for those who play super metroid redesign?

You need a older version of ZSNES 1.36. Later version won't work. This will solve problem.

You download the patch and find the US/J ROM of Super Metroid and patch it (I use WinIPS). Then find yourself an emulator and start having fun...hopefully.

wrong, he is using SNES9x, and its not Turbo, he's using frame advance, which allows him to play 1 frame at a time, and he advances it at will, so he can get the right buttons pressed for the right duration to execute PERFECT moves.
