1: What on earth is the appeal of headless basses/guitars, personally they're the ugliest things i've ever seen ever.

You just butchered your favorite bass line in the whole wide world. What is this? Pickin' and Grinnin' on Hee-Haw? Man, you totally missed the entire zeitgeist of that classic bass line. It has to be played with fingers, muted at that, and on a Music Man bass for that deep FAT sound. In addition, the rythym and syncopation needs to be dead on. But don't feel alone. I'm watching numerous other bass videos of other people massacring the same bass line.

All I was trying to say was that the above bass line, when compared to let's say, John Paul Jones, Geddy Lee, John Entwistle and especially Jaco Pastorious, is albeit COOL, but very simple, I learned it the first time through, where it took me a week to get The Who's The Real Me down.
