I hate to admit it..but Russian planes are better than our american planes! The B-1 Bomber is nice, but this black jack TU-160 is just awsome!!! Its almost scary how powerful and how much better it is than our B-1 Bomber..Russian engineers are the best in the world!! hands down!!

It could load more weapons then the B1, it could fly much faster then the B1 and the radar signature was much smaller.

The Tu-160 isn't a copy of the B-1 really. The B-1 itself is sort of a dud whose replacement almost beat it into service and its precursor is still flying. Between the B-52 and the B-2 the B-1 is the odd man out.

ummm most of you are missing the point the Blackjack is a Russian attempted to copy the Bone its much different than most people think most of this doesn't matter its all about the Bones radar and the purpose is low and fast get on the deck and punch it under radar. payload and top speed doesn't matter its about mission effectiveness in the end any intelligent general is going to take the Bone over the BJ because its more flexible, harder to detect, and easier to maintain

Not too sure about that. How many -47's are with active units? The USAF/NASA experimented with that forward-swept wing design decades ago. It was found to be unreliable for a combat aircraft.

Are you sure it crashed?, it was never meant to be produced it was a technology demonstrator, the Russians are working on the PAK FA, which will have technologies from the 2 demonstrator aircraft.

Yeah, the F-15 is outdated. The Su and Mig29 were built to try to counter her. She still rules the sky, and has superior BVR capabilities. In an stick puller, the Su might be able to out maneuver her, but then it would all be up to which pilot is better trained, nes pa? USAF rules the skies. Always has, Always will.

I could say to improve upon it. If you believe this is simply just a copy, consider that the Tu-160 is almost 30% larger than the B-1, heavier, faster, more powerful and has a greater payload and range. It is the largest, heaviest and fastest(along with Tu-22M) bomber and employs the most powerful engines of ANY combat aircraft put into service.
