The ICS update made this tablet something else entirely. If you owned or played with it before and weren't a fan of the UI lag or unfinished feel, both are gone now with the official ICS update

ok my roommate just received this today..2 questions he cannot seem to get answered from the company etc..(he has been on the phone for 2 hours and no one seems to know anything)

Question 1: where on the tablet can he find where/ what processor it has, the memory and hard drive...

@rhymeandreasoning System info is almost always located under setting, just browse setting & by card reader I assume you're talking about those funny little barcodes, go to the Android Market & download Google Goggles, make sure the publisher of the app is Google as it is an official Google app.

well i was going to get an ipad 2 but thanks to your review im getting the Motorola 2 xoom 1GB Ram..32gb HDrive, i know it may have a few issues on the android 3 but it will all get sorted, im in no rush..but in the long run..and i mean a year or so after purchase i feel that the android os is going to be miles ahead of the game than the ipad, so thanks for such a great review.

the big difference for me and the ipad 2 is that the motorola xoom has better design . the ipad is boring, its basically a huge ipod touch exept its price is a whole lot more. its ugly in my eyes when i saw it in display. xoom is a hundred dollars less. and is better for web-surfing. but hey thats my opinion.

I got wifi 32 gb that is 600.00 3.1 firmware. its fucked up big time Micro SD slot dead. firmware needs to be updated. Guess what I am not fucking allowed to update the firmware..

its crash drama Force shut down on download apps. The apps are for Cell phones only.

LCD screen well gets blank on some light fixtures and some sun light. Motorola service stinks fucking rude. cannot fix what cannot be fixed. Abes of Maine the dealer fucked my refund for dealer protection. sell dead items no refund.

just cos its a tablet does not mean its a iPad copy. This is completely different in many ways and offers significant advantages with its HDMI, USB, expandable memory, probably not what you will ever find on a iPad device. I am not a hater of either and would have either and i really like the smoothness of the iPad 2, but that is addressed in Android 4.0 so I would have to go for something that suits me better. And thats what it comes down to with tablets and many electronics.

@rofz Solid as a rock under Android 3.2. As soon as I bought my Xoom it had 2 OS updates waiting, so not sure where you are coming from here. Don't be put off by this people the updates are not an issue now. Although with Xoom 2 around the corner you may want to hold on a while.
