Wow. I was in bed about to go to sleep, and this show popped up in my head. I just had to come on here and watch it. The theme song still sends shivers down my spine! Haha. Quality show. Was about 8 when it first came out.

@winty76 I would imagine financial considerations would be a factor too. If we stop and think about it, this is a very expensive show. It's not like Big Brother say which is in one place with a revenue stream coming in from telephone votes. It's in numerous locations, you have to house contestants and crew for a substantial period of time in hotels, plus of course you have to create the various challenges.

Also there is a finite amount of challenges you can do for this

@reptongeek don't think its too expensive here in the netherlands its in its 11th season on public television, which has way lesser budget then the other commercial tv. in fact a few tickets and the challenges are not that expensive as some other tv shows. big brother does seem cheap, but the home has to be build, there is a capital at equipment besides that, although weekly broadcast. the people are send home every few days. total +/- 3 weeks

Useless fact: Grant Bowler never actually knew who the Mole was until the end. The producers asked if he wanted to know, but he refused, saying that he could be a better host if he DIDN'T know.

That's also what they usually do for other seasons for the same reasons. It's easier on the Host if they don't have to worry about accidently giving hints as to who the Mole is.

@yodadude666 Yah the host isnt Supposed to know, at least in theroy that stuff is usually left up to production until the end of the last episode, the host could unknowingly give something away with his body language

I am from australia, and i have the first season of american mole on dvd, and am currently awaiting the 5th episode of the new american season. I think that the american ones are more...better lol. They seem so much more newer lol even the first season US
