Well, this vids sound very logical, I mean common, 90% of rock/metal music are about how life sucks. Why is that? Is it because life really sucks or do they just want to make everybody believe that? I myself was listening almost for my entire life rock and metal music and i have to say that it didn't make me feel good i was depressed for no reason.

Or the Stone Roses? etc. It's simply not true. Yes, there are many bands whose output consists mainly of songs which discuss certain unfortunate realities of human existence which are less than rosey - but that's life. For as much happiness and bliss as there is in the world, there's rather a lot of sadness as well.

I think the clip they play is from either a movie or a story Morrison wrote. But what I've read from people who knew Morrison, I wouldn't be surprised if he told a reporter that story(when he was loaded) and made them think it actually happened. sympathy for the devil is about a french book called "the master and margarita" that mick read and he took a couple of lines from it and made them a song cause he though it was a good idea. pete townshed is just explaining that the energy from the crowd gets him really excited and happy that he can play on a stage for people. most punk rockers just go crazy because they are so excited and want to get their energy out. the pentagram is just a cool logo. real life IS found in fun.

The first thing at the beginning: "Sympathy For The Devil" being performed at the 1969 free Stones concert and shown on the award-winning movie, "Gimme Shelter"...what the hell?! Allow me to explain. Secondly, these people on this video are trying to mess with your fucking heads! Watch the "Gimme Shelter" movie sometime. It was after THAT song was performed that the guy was stabbed to death. These ppl just put the audio of "Sympathy For The Devil" over the clip of when "Under My Thumb" was being performed. But I need to explain something else. Back in the 60s when the Beatles and the Stones were big, they were practically equivelant to royalty; and ppl like to try to kill ppl of power, for some reason. The guy brought a gun & was about to shoot Mick, when a Hell's Angel (whom the Stones were using as security) stabbed the guy just in time. So, really, it had nothing to do with Satan. And you have to remember that drugs were being used alot at the concert, which can be seen in the movie. Any clearer now after that long explanation? (And I just absolutely LOVE what they did to Mick's singing at 0:30. T__T Nice little effect there, bastards. Really helps the scene.)

Before comparing these two quotes, check what their definitions of 'love' are and the context these quotes are pulled out of.
As for the second of these, it was referring to love as described in the Bible - loving God with all your heart, mind, body, and soul, and your neighbor as yourself. If you do, then what you 'will' will be in alignment with God, not your own selfish desires.
Crowley, on the other hand, had a different reference point.

Regardless of creed, free-will is the perennial truth of all of these perspectives. You can choose to either walk with your eyes closed or wide open.

You are right about people using religion to kill people- but I think its a shame to have such lower level subject matter pawned off to the youth as something harmless and "cool". I completely agree with you. This isn't a matter of evil influence, which mullet man up there is trying to make people think, but a matter of taste. I think most of the music processed out of the media monster (especially in the 80's) is just bad and very disrespectful. They only made that kind of music because of the massive buzz it would engender in all people. But the guy did say that 'some of the most twisted acts in humanity was inspired by rock icons.' And that's just incorrect.

Alright, I can see that, in the personal conscience viewpoint. In that way, it is tragic what happened to those individuals. But I just wish people could articulate it that way other than just spewing rhetoric, and condemning anyone who questions it to hell for all eternity. And placing blame other than taking responsibility. But no matter what stance one takes, all can agree that it is very sad and confusing. "Veil of Tears" starts to make more and more metaphorical sense.

The 'Veil' comes up in many spiritual traditions. For some, it is that which hides and reveals the truth of reality. For others, it is that which keeps you from being blown away by God, living a life more or less blissfully ignorant. Some saw it as the devil's last attempt to blind mankind from seeing the Kingdom of Heaven.
