Dont even mention the american remake of Godzilla. Godzilla is an upright walking, laser beam firing, unstoppable, science baffling retarded barney-looking dinosaur. He is an allegory for the A bomb during WW2, this is all he is, this is all he should ever be. Changing this for us is like for example, if you were mainly a Halo gamer and didn't like Call of Duty much.. then they suddenly changed the gameplay of Halo to be exactly the same as COD.. well there's not really a true reason for that i don't think. i do know that basically they are looking for the main guy's girlfriend (Sort of like ex girlfriend.. i dunno haha) and everywhere they go the monster just happens to be pretty close. But then again the monster is massive as shit so i mean its kind of close to everyone. Also there might be some back story to why the monster is there and maybe its tied in to why the main guy is going to japan. we'll just have to wait until number 2!
