Axl: yeah i got the tattoo first cos' i felt no matter what happens in this band were it went, what we sold or it broke up, changed, whatever or any other members,that at that time it was the most important thing...and i wanted something to always remind me of what was once there.

that means so much to me and shows that axl isn't a douche and there's good in his heart, i can bet u that he still has that tattoo to this day, to remind him of what once was

Axl: Slash is one of the most emotional guitar players that I've ever met. I saw all these people trying to be Eddie van Halen. And it took 5 years to find somebody who played more from the heart rather than just trying to be the fastest, to be a big rock star. He'll be very quiet most of the time until he picks up a guitar and his heart and soul seems to pour out through the guitar. And I'll sit right in front of his amp when he's doing a solo. It means so much to me just to hear that.
