By the way, you picked a great tempo for this. I tend to imagine this would be the speed JRM himself would have played it! Sit back and you can almost picture a smoke filled cafe playing this.. Scandalous!
Curious, did your instrument come with sliding doors on the top or were they just removed for the video? Sometimes people in the past would replace the wooden original ones with stained glass or plexiglass for added "razzmatazz".
Ah, very good :) Glad to hear you still have them. It's a nice touch though to see the inner workings of the player. I'd hope it gets a lot of interest from kids when they are over. My nieces/nephew aren't at an age where they can sit still for even a minute, but I'm waiting for the day where I can play my piano for them and hopefully they'll be interested :)

Hi,

Great video, piano, and roll!

I still have the wooden doors. I did replace with the plate glass that you see.

I agree. It's nice to hear it played slower.
I tried that link in your comments, but it is not available.
Have you anymore JRMs?

I also have "Jelly Roll Blues".

Thanks for putting that on YouTube. This tune as played by JRM was really gentle. It is normally played at such a great pace.

Jelly would have played at a faster tempo but it is just my personal preference to slow things down a bit.

You should have done an overhead shot, so that we could have seen what he was doing in this showed down piano roll.

When I figure out where and how to mount the camera I just may try that!

Great! Because this slowed down recording really shows how skilled and strong you would've had to be to play like this.
