  • The beach boys remind me of my son and takes me back to times with my dad when beach boys records were always playing in the house. Thats real music man

  • Long live Brian Wilson! May he at least outlive the Bald Devil!

  • Something about him reminds me of Ozzy Osborne...

He seems animated and disconnected from reality.

  • Los norteamericanos, sobre todo, deberían cuidar como oro a este genio que les queda... Brian Wilson es de los que ya no hay. Es una leyenda viva.

  • He moves and acts like someone who's been hit over the head with a wrench prior to performing.

  • He reminds me so much of Justin Bieber look at them side to side you'll see Justin Bieber is the next Brian Wilson

  • @coolsweetgroovy WHAT !?!

  • @flemingcourt What do you mean Brian do looklike he could be Justin Bieber's Grandpa so in Justin Bieber's future he's still going to be handsome and sexy too

  • GOD bless him!

  • God bless this gifted and tortured man. He's lucky to be alive and while his disease is under controlled - his old man really did him wrong.....

  • Who cares about what mental illness he might or might not have. The man is amazing and the fact that he can go on stage and still put together a wonderful song is just simply amazing as well. The man has been through hell and back and is still the KING!

  • LARGA VIDA AL REY LONG LIVE TO THE KING

  • Brian Wilson, mentally ill or not, is still more amazing than all of the Bruce Springsteen's and Bon Jovi's and Jay Z's and every other crappy commercial artist put together.

  • @catman08012

Never mention Springsteen and Bon Jovi in the same sentence again and you've got a deal.

  • brian is doing good and looking good for a man his age with all the pressures he's had to deal with. i've been diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder and i take my meds and i don't get bothered too much by the audiohallucinations. they come up under pressure and anxiety. people can lead a normal life. brian's got a killer schedule so i'd say he's remarkable. still puts out critically acclaimed new music. pretty good for someone that some people would call insane and way past retirement. huh?

  • Funny how all the psyciatric proffesionals are having a convention on the text comments here.

  • Schizoaffective disorder is not schizophrenia, Wiki is your friend!

  • What in the world makes you think that mental illness is "always there"? It's not. Brian is diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. Just wiki it. It's not a permanent condition.

  • Well if you don't want to learn the truth about schizoaffective disorder you are the one left out, it manifests itself in early adulthood. Brian was a normal young man, get the smile DVD if you don't have it. His old friends give plenty of information on Brian and they only noticed a change in his personality (he started to think people were trying to kill him) after the Smile pressures got to him.

  • The guy has said he struggles with his problems on a daily basis. He's on medication for it and has been for years - how is that not permanent?

Mental illness is usually a permanent part of someone's life - it's pretty obvious it's a permanent part of Brian's life.

  • He's not insane lol, he's got problems. And having mental illness is not a blessing. He didn't develop problems until around 1968, most of the great beach boys music you know of, including Pet Sounds was made when he fine. His creative work all but stopped once he became sick.

  • HE´S NOT DAMN MENTALLY ILL.

    You´re not well informed, obviously.

  • He's a genius I know. Too bad he hear's voices, nothing do with thinking.

  • oh god, this makes me smile and cry at the same time..This is the kind of guy you want to protect from everything..i love brian wilson..he´s the man..but you see, he´s deeply ill mentally, maybe it´s the medication that makes him move around like this..I´s do anything to make him happy and i think all his fans would do anything to make him smile and enjoy life like he deserves..such a fantastic songwriter and producer..incredible wondeful songs he wrote..he´s very fragile though..

  • HE MOVES LIKE THAT BECAUSE HE´S GOING TO BE 70 YEARS OLD, MAN!... HOW DO YOU THINK YOU´LL MOVE AT SEVENTY, AND HAVING WORKED YOUR ASS OFF AS HE DID FOR LIKE 50 YEARS?¿!!!....

You know, I would better shut up if I were you...

  • @anitasseo You go

  • I like that Brian is combing his hair off to the left again like when he was younger. It makes him look a lot younger than when he combed it straight back. What an awsome performer and song writer!

  • Legend!

  • Brian was a major influence on a whole generation and still sounds great.

  • Was this in Vancouver?

  • Nope, it was in Los Angeles

  • Great to see Brian looking good and he IS the man! Thanx 4 the post.

  • Still the awkward child, not of this world. Sad and wonderful - many thanks.

  • He was always terribly shy, even in the early days... that's part of why he stopped touring with the band at the time & confined himself to writing..

  • seeing him talk in front of the crowd and his overall mannerisms, Brian's become at better stage performer at 65...
