I too work for an airline too in a passenger contact position. It was time airline employees stood up for all the verbal and physical abuses dished out on us. When I started in the industry in the late seventies, people knew to behave. Nowadays, when I see the kind of people the airlines transport all I can say is "Save us from such folk"

Not being in an emergency doesnt mean you dont have to do safety procedures. Do you know something about checklists? Probably you dont do them, because things almost never happen. But the most important thing in aviation safety is prevention.
