your hair is beautiful! My husband inspired me to get locks because he didn't like weave. I don't mind weave, but I like my hair better this way. However, I wish that I was comfortable enough to love my natural hair before I locked it up. I use to braid it and put a weave cap on top of 'em.

@09amoore Some people do whats called the big chop which is cutting all the relaxed hair off. or letting it grow out enuff then cuting to where the natural hair can be gripped to style lemme kno if u still dont understand and i can explain it more. but there are lots of videos on how to go about the process in different ways

Thanks for this idea. The dry twists allow me to keep much of my length. I have major shrinkage. The bantu knots didn't curl my hair as much as it did yours but I used rod/perm rollers & the curls were so pretty! I finally cracked the code to wearing twists with my hair. Tx!

@candyiluvcrisscross try parting a small section of hair...and dividin that section into two....twist those two sections then twist it into a bantu knot...hold it dwn with a bobby pin....thats wat I do :)...hope that works

It's official everyone! I completed this hairstyle! Actually, I did the dry twists and then I curled it like she had it. Except, I used plastic mini curlers that I left in overnight rather than doing the bantu knots. They outcome looks exactly the same! It took more time than I thought it would. Hers took three hours and mine took like the whole day. I think it's because it was my first time styling my hair and she's styled hers several times while working in the haircare profession. Yes, you need to browse and take some time to look. It's been a month since you have posted this. There are plenty of hairstyles that show BC hairstyles around the net, especially on sites like FOTKI. I just looked at a curl set with this girl who wore a tiny fro.

That's the down side of cutting off all your hair, it leaves you real short on hair options. The only things you can do is wash n go's, put gel in it to define the curl pattern, or small head band are cute as well. There are scarfs and hats also,, all the best on your hair journey
