i see your point. but with plasmas a napalm granade would be better because of the gaurds. thats also why they mave tankers. they have heavy armor and are spesolist. and the x-bug as its one variant

whats odd is that in the first movie i only ever saw like three mobile infantry weapons. the morita, the morita carbine, and the nuke launcher. and at the end a shotgun. but it wasn't killing a bug so...why ain't there a flame thrower or minigun,or something?

the carbine is the equivalent of a minigun. flame thrower is too close that and may not light do to atmoshpere.

It's the equivalent of a minigun due to the high rate of fire, good damage (and fortunately, due to the wide availability of ammo).
