  • SOMEONE PLZ REPLY !! Umm would i be able to put tiger barbs in with sepae tetras?

  • @jakalkid1997 Perhaps, though i had a tiger barb that got fairly big whom would chase my blackskirt tetra, so its a tough call. I personaly would not just from personal experience.

  • @AquaLifeGlobal ah okay thanks for the reply :)

  • the fish on its self is a dwarf chicklid

  • Oh no wait! those are emperor, or Keri tetras! :)

  • They are blue columbian tetras :)

  • Beautiful setup.

  • coolest tank ever

  • watch?v=Vh8G-oTdwPY

  • awesome...

  • Whats the electric blue fish??, not the neon tetras.

  • this tank is so beautiful you must really enjoy watching this all the time, well done!

  • how do you get your pleco to live?? ive so far gone through 3 and ive even tried feeding them algae wafers.

  • @BullockDesignConcept, you need to provide plecs with bog wood /drift wood for good long term health

  • This is stunning!!! Very vibrant

  • This is absublutly stunning! Such vibrant colors!

  • where do you get your driftwood

  • GORGEOUS tank.

  • what kind of lights do you use to keep the plants looking so nice? Do you use any fertalizer, co2 or iron?

  • Damn that is nice.

  • THAT TANK IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • my 2 largest columbian have black edges to there fins, and they spread there tail wide and swim is circles around each other.

I assume its dominance or breeding?

  • Really nice

  • i have colombian tetras but i find mine aggresive towards most my fish especially towards eachother and when feeeding is that ther normal behavior??

    plz reply

  • My favourite fishes were the columbian tetras. Fairly uincommon, unlike the daily neon

  • @blownable Which are these, the almost all blue ones? Thanks.

  • You are thikning of the neon tetras. The columbians are the silvery iridescent ones with red fins and tails.

  • hey what kind of wood is that and were do i get it im starting my tank this week. probobly by friday. but mostlikly tuesday. this is my 3rd tank other i still have a betta one and one cummunity tank my brother thought they were hungry and gave them an oreo cookie. it was sad but how he fed them it was priceless! lol ty

  • Very very nice, especially for a tall tank, making tall tanks look good can be a bitch

  • Gorgeous tank. I love it!

  • awesome 5 Stars!!

  • very nice

  • Dude; i was literally speechless. The coloring on the fish is amazing; I envy you and the feelings of peace you must feel when not maintaining it. hehe

  • sweet tank!!

  • hey dude is this a good south american tank for a 29 gallon tank

    5 silver hachets

    8-10 rummy nose tetras

6 panda albino or green cory cats

    bristle nose pleco or otos

    5 blood fin tetras

and some shrimps like ghost or something

and can u give me some good plant ideas

  • What can u feed plecos? Can u feed them cucumber?

  • yes you can, they LOVE cucumber..

  • try sinking algae pellets they usually go for those right away and anything that sinks and they can swallow or suck on is fine idk bout cucumber though.

  • Nice tank mate. I saw some green neons recently and wish I had snapped em up now as they seem quite uncommon!

You just need some hatchet for the upper level :)

  • Beautiful tank. I love it. How do you keep so many fish in it? How often do you do water changes?

  • nice tank do you think this would be fine for a 41 gallon tank 10-15 guppies, 4-6 clown loaches, a few mollies, 1 red tailed balc shark, a pair of apisto agassizi, 1 pleco and 2-3 Banded Rainbows.

  • it would, but the clown loaches would over grow a 41 gallon tank eventually considering they're taken good care of.

  • wouldn't the clown loaches eat the guppies?

  • Very nice tank, I sure like the planting a lot.

    All life plants?

    Take care mate :)

  • what are the pink taled fish called m8 ?

  • They are Colombian Tetras ;)

  • what are those white feathery looking plants at the surface?

  • maybe roots of water lettuce

  • nice tank

  • I absoulutly LOVEEEEE this tank, it's one of my favourites on youtube.

I wish i could house galaxy rasboras, but all the LFS's around me never stock them :(

  • you need to locate some local hobbyists instead of going throu your lfs my local hobbyists are selling these guys for 3 bucks a pop and half over 100 fry and like 200 full grown

  • uhmmmm those are watter lettuce right?...well when i bought mines....perfect condition, they just started dying!!!

  • excellent tank..it involves greater work and patience..good dude...

  • how often do u do water changes and wat filter r u using

  • well nice tank!! any idea what the floating plants are called? i just got some last week.

  • What are the tetra sized fish that are all blue?

  • what were u feeding the columbian tetras?

  • I was going to suggest getting some peacock bass but when I read you had a lot of tetra I would'nt suggest it, cool tank though

  • really nice :)

  • very nice, how big is your tank? check my tank!

  • Very very nice.. Your apistogramma looks great, I think its a male? Are there any females with him? Ive never owned one but am planning a south american tank with angelfish, keyholes, doradid catfish, and cardinal tetras, do you think a few apistogramma would do okay in such a setup?

  • very cool. nicely laid out and beautifully put together.

  • Hands down the nicest community tank I have ever seen. Great job. I have to ask you since I want this type of tank. Do you have a co2 injector for you plants and how many gallons is this tank. I keep Tanganyikan africans which is much different. Thanks for the vid.

  • omg i cant stop coming back to look at this tank!

  • seriously that is an awesome tank, those columbian tetras look amazing!

  • beatiful.

  • Very nice tank, you should put some angel fish in there because the tank is tall. angels like to swim up and down.

  • They would like the tank, but they can be agressive toward tetras.

  • thats not necessarily true, i have a 29 gallon tank and i have 2 angel fish and a school of about 8 neon tetras, They are pretty fine with each other.

  • Oh, I guess it depends on how agressive the angel is. ; )

  • actually i guess it depends on when you put them together because when you put neons with the angels when they are small they will not eat it when they are bigger

  • True.

  • thats a nice tank like the wood never saw anything like that

  • thats a nice tank like the wood never saw anything like that

  • the black tetra look like black neons to me. they are good neons to have because unlike the regular blue and red neon tetra, they don't kill each other! the cardinal tetra you have are an excellent substitute for neon tetra for the same reason.

  • wow, i love your columbian tetra! they are really nice examples. what species is the orange fish at 35 seconds?

that is a fabulous set up you have there! so colourful!!

  • hi i was wondering how much those columbian tetras are each, same with the rummynose teras to in £s.you have lovely tank and fish selection aswell exellent set up.

  • at that size for a large number of columbian tetra your talking in excess of £5 per fish, but you can get them a lot smaller than that for about £1.50 each. the ones in my tank were from someone else who finished their tank, so they were nice and cheap!

  • What kind of fish are these bigger red tailed ones??? Whant to search some in a pet shop but I don´t know how you call them...

  • they are columbian tetra

  • where can you find good wood like that my petstores dont have any like that?

  • You can find some good wood online.

  • You can find some good wood online.

  • lush tank set up i thinking of a amazon tank set up

  • Very nice tank. Overstocked but it looks good and clean. I love your galaxys!

  • ur tank is amazing, deffinitely favoriting it. 5 stars!

  • lovely

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL TANK! Not overstocked! cant really over stock tetras unless its to the point where you can movie anywhere in there!

  • to many fish

  • geez u like tetras

  • Man I love your tank :-) ... I had amazon theme before but when i went to IRan some fishes got sick -.- then all died it was too late and now I have just an angelfish :D .. I am trying to buy plants any suggestions?

  • i love watching fish eat!!!!

lol plecos rule and the neon tetras added lots of color to ur tank.

    very nice!!

  • i envy fish, they can swim in 3 dimensions

  • Nice looking tank mate, the columbians are awesome, im setting up the same sort of thing at the moment im just waiting for all of my plants to grow then i might upload a video.

  • you tank is freakin awsome man i envy u now, im thinkin of starting a Southeast Asia Tank theme any tips please would be very helpful.

  • there isnt really a good southeast asia tank cuz most of them just eat the fish they catch... HAHAHA...

  • other than that try and get ur self a walking mudfish... they are soo cool to bad they make the smelliest delicies...

  • Cool tank.........is it the the fish with the red tail you are looking for more information about?

  • Nice looking tank mate

  • nice cardial tetras

  • i got 15 gallon tank and gatting new fish any suggestions

  • You should come decorate my tank!!

  • Hi, i would like to setup an amazon themed tank. Do u have any suggestions on what kind of fish i should get and the plants in the tank? I would like some bright colorfull fish. Also, what size is your tank?

  • I can't really see the black and purple tetras in your video, but it sounded similar to this breed, so i figured I would let you know and you can determine if this is the right species or not.

Royal Black Emperor Tetra (Nematobrycon palmeri)

  • Thanks azurefae but it is not an emperor tetra. I now have some standard emperors and they are completly different. I have just bought a new better camera and will post a video of these black tetras and let you know so you can see them. I cannot find anything similar anywhere.

  • the key is water changes and good filter not some cheap chines some good stuuf :p and reading books helps :p

  • PS: I have all the equipment except UV filtering. Do you have UV and if so, how do you like it? :)

  • No i dont have UV and iv never used one in Freshwater in over 20 years keeping fish..In my eyes they are not really necessary. Id spend the money on a large external filter instead.

  • Great, thanks for the advice. Anything but a good external filter is unacceptable of course. How do you handle algea? Both my breeder-tank and display-tank is infested all the time and the usual suckermouthed cleanerfish likes nothing better than to attach themselves on my babies :(

  • I didnt say that they were unacceptable, i have just not seen the need. I do not seem to suffer from algae but i made sure i studied how and why algae grow in freshwater tanks..Once you understand that algae are the largest plant species in the world and grow in every condition you can take certain steps to cut down on the triggers that cause outbreaks. I suggest trawling the web!! Cheers

  • A good idea is to create a balance between fertilization, lights, and plants. Basically, just try to keep Phosphates and Nitrates low by performing weekly water changes and again create a balance. Always try to find the cause of all the algae and correct that instead of just dealing with the algae when it appears and remember, a tank suitable for plants will always have algae, it's inevitable.

  • Looks great mate. How do you keep it clean enough? Maybe I'm just panicky when it comes to my fish, but I can't have any corners where filth might accumulate, makes me very nervous. I clean once a day, but I enjoy it very much so it's not really an effort or work :) In your opinion, is that excessive? Also, nice fish mate, sorry it took me a week to check them out.

  • You should not worry about keeping it spotless. The bacteria in your tank will soon break down any solid waste and your filter should break down Ammonia and Nitrate into harmless nitrite.Just carry out a 25% water change weekly and rinse your filter medium in tank water (Never Tap water). Its really easy...Dont make it hard work just enjoy your fish.

  • it's actually better performing one water chance a week instead of every day and plus it's unhealthy for the tank to be spotless. All those water changes will stress the fish, waste water, and not good for planted tanks since you need various nutrient concentrations for your plants to thrive.

  • thats brill mate, did it cost a lot, how much were all the plants? what do you mean by breeding stock? can you give me advise on how to plant my brill coldwater aquarium?

  • Thanks, the plants were not that expensive but the wood is. There are nor a great deal of plants in there at the minute, theres a large Aponoglton at the back which was bought for £1 and was tiny.the floating plants are Water lettuce, The java moss and java fern i have had in various tanks for 15 years. The breeding stock live in this tank together but when i breed them i remove a pair into another tank to breed them. Have a look at my pencilfish video to see what i mean. Cheers

  • thanks very much for the info, i will watch that video, and if you watch my aquarium you will see my fish and plants on my video, best of luck with aquarium dude and very well done!

  • Absolutely beautiful!!!!, it captures the true enviroment of the Amazon. Great work!!

  • Thanks Trini... It is not a 100% biotope but it is a similar scene that you may find in an amazon backwater.

  • I'm assuming the Colombian tetras are the ones with the red fins. How big do they grow?.

  • Yes they are the ones with the blue back and lovely red fins. They are very old now, i have had them in various tanks for 8 years. Three of them i have raised from babies born in my community. They are large for tetras at about 2 1/2 inches. I will be getting some more when these die because they are a perfect community fish and one of my favourites.
