  • Awesome music.

That bike is neet too. :)

  • Hi. can i ask help? because our group decided to make a self balancing bicycle... and we dont know how the fly wheel works? The one spinning in the middle? can i ask help on that? kindly add me in my YM andreew_mvp@yahoo.com or maybe email me direct at andreew.mvp2007@gmai.com i will be waiting .. hope you can help us.. we really need your help

  • How did you design the conplementary filter in theory and real?

Hey, I'm making a self balancing bicycle, so I have some question. Could I have your e-mail?

    Thanks

  • What kind of motor did you use (step motor or normal motor with encoder)?

What is input, output of that system?

How did you control the wheel (pid, fuzzy ...) ?

  • Motor is a normal 10mm dc motor with 1/75 reduction gears. Controler is a very basic one.

    input---1 incline angle , 2 angle-dot of bike from gyro/acc meter 3 revolution angle , 4 angle-dot of wheel from encoder

    output---motor voltage ,or pwm rate

    PD control is like OUT=K1*IN1+K2*IN2+K3*IN3+K4*IN4

Ks are given by LQR using scilab.

Dear sir, I am a Mechatronics student doing my final year project similar to that of yours. I was doing my calculation on torque of motors but I am stuck. I would be really grateful if you could kindly guide me in choosing the right motors and flywheel specifications.

Awaiting positive reply and thanking you in advance.

    Best regards

  • How did you combine accelerometer sensor and gyro sensor ?

Did you use complementaty filter or Kalman filter?

Could you tell me the difference between model of Reaction wheel pendulum and your Bicycle?

  • I don't think there's any difference between reaction wheel pendulum and my bicycle.

Balancing of the lateral plane is done only by the reaction wheel.

I used complementary filter to combine.

I think it was rather difficult to make a good hardware than building a math model.

  • Thanks for watching.

I used gyro and acceleration sensor to see tilt angle, and photo interrupters to encode the rotation of the wheel.

  • Did you have a system modeling in Mathlab?

  • I used Scilab instead because it's free.

  • Cool!.

What kind of sensor did you use?
