Just a question, next on the propeller, there's a tape strapped around it stuck to the wings. Is it for left-right propeller turning and if I have to remove it? Please respond someone.

@donahuerules You have to put 8 batteries in the back of the controller, make sure the + and - signs are correct, turn on the controller and switchblade, it's suppose to fly after you've done that because the switchblade is already pre-charged

Typical Chinese garbage. I have a different Air Hogs plane and the motors were not even aligned properly so it always flew in circles. Had to pull the motor off and re-glue it so the blades of each motor lined up. For $30 to $60 bucks a plane you shouldn't have to repair it yourself right out of the package. My brother bought the same plane as me, the Air Hogs Hawk Eye Blue Sky, and his flies fine. Much more control than the Morphing craft in this video.

That spinning take off and flight is very interesting. There is something there that my mind is playing with, like a shell in the shape of the UFO from the OLD TV show "The Invaders" Roy Thinnes? Don't know why it makes me think of that. That would lock it in that shape, but 1 LED at top and bottom would give you the solid line and if you pulsed another on the bottom at just the right rate I bet it would appear to counter rotate.. Air Hogs is what pulled me into RC (#$%@! Them) :) Glad to see a antenna instead of IR, I'd walked by the Switch without really figuring out what it did. I can see that was a mistake. SloMo right at the camera was Kewl, Gosh Darn Shucks? Good job Jeff, I would have to work on my acceptable language to shoot vids! I actually made a plane that pretty much does the same thing with X-plane. It was s fun little project.....I made it by modifying a 'flying flapjack' (I forget the real name, but thats the nick name)....then I put a vectored wing with vectored thrust on one side...and the same but without the vectoring on the other. I set the vector to 180 degrees. Worked pretty good too! 'Course a real life version would make a pilot VERY dizzy!!!! LOL!!!

well, when i fly my switchblade i start it out in thw twisted position and i give full throttle and it gets up about 7 feet and then comes right back down???and when i get it flying everytime i turn it...it dives down???can you help me??? thanks

I've dealed with hard packages also. Fortunately, I'm also a knife collector XD. Check out the Böker Karambit by Chad Los Banos, I used it to unpackage my Falcon X. That's what happens when you have soft fingernails! :D Perhaps I have to buy this kind of switchblade! By the way... "Easy"? I just bought one of these, we're having some problems getting it to fly...it just ditches right away...I think I will try adjusting the trim by hanging it the same way you did in this video...by holding it with my fingertips, I think I restrict it giving me the feedback. Only paid $24.95, so it's not a bad deal if I can get it to fly. Certainly I think it has to be VERY calm, no wind.

I wouldn't recommend this for begginer flyers.

I would recommend an Air hogs helicopter. They are small, easy to fly, but somtimes faulty. These switchblades do not respond somtimes, and like shown in this video, they had to alter with the settings alot and wiring.

This airplane is bad. For begginers, AND experts, it just doesn't respond.

@batstarwars2 for a beginner plane go to nitroplanes and buy a R/C flight simulator and a Hawk Sky 4-channel R/C plane but do the simulator first! (ya wanna know how to fly a plane on a simulator before you crash it and spend your money on no spare parts in stead fix it to be broken again witch is what you do not want so try out the simulator first!) trust me!

As with most Air Hogs stuff it looks much cooler than it actually is and is missing some ESSENTIAL control function, like elevation.

I love my switchblade. You need to make it go quite high before morphing. It is the fastest plane airhogs has made. A bit hard to turn at first, but i love it now.

Really interesting plane, too bad the morph is only one direction. If they had a motor for the morphing part they could do the steering independently of the thrust/elevators by changing the angle of the wings.

I have one of these and it always seems to belly up and smash into the ground but after seeing how you trimmed it out I'm going to try that next and see if it helps to keep it in the air...

I have an Airhogs Heli and it works well (Took me awhile to get the hang of it) as well as a smaller biplane with "Cell Phone" motors on the props and I find that one just cannot fly in any kind of wind, a slight breeze and it noses up and stalls.

Another way to trim these aircraft with dual engines is just by sound.

With the trottle at full, adjust the trim back and fourth - you can hear the sound waver when one motor is moving slower than the other.

When they are properly harmonized they sound like they are making a single musical note.

I paid $70 dollars for my son's and the thing isn't worth a penny. It was bought as a gift, it was all only thing he wanted. Once it was completely charged he was let down. It's able to hovers about 5ft off the ground an once it morphs it dives to the ground. For an 8 year old It's a huge let down for him and we'll be taking it back.

So think twince about buying one. It's not worth it.

I have a lot of airhogs products and a lot dont fly to good and dont have good range or turning capabilities. The switchblade is theyr best work. Only one thing. When i morph it it stands there in jet mode and then free falls. Do i need higher altitude

never got it to morph well. always did a dived or spiraled. i like flying it without morphing. i got it high in the air for almost 4 minutes. when i get it up, i back off on the throttle and it cruises along nicely. i like the switchblade. i fly 3. bought 8 rechargeables and use them to recharge each switchblade. really fun.

I got it for Christmas as well. It's really fun to fly. Get as much altitude as you can before morphing into plane mode and you can keep it airborn for almost a full charge!
