I liked it for some reason, even though it was crude by today's standards, the music, prevue tonight, seemed cool for some reason. I remember the ad with the cop on his bike saying the guy was changing channels too quick or the (somewhat) fat woman saying "Now I watch prevue tonight on prevue guide!" would be nice to see some of the other stuff. In June of 91 though I lived in a town that didn't have cable. You don't need this anymore with digital cable as it has a built in program guide
OMG I still remember that tune this channel had. stuck in my head for loooong time. This brings back memories from when i was a kid. This was the most watched channel because there was nothing else on. lol
Did they pick up the later CLTV and FOX sports Chicago and CSN Chicago when they started up? Also where ad's for the all the fireworks places on there cable system?
Today, it's red carpet premieres, crappy reality shows you can get anywhere else, and whatever Paris Hilton has in mind. At least we DirecTV subscribers have their on-screen guide.:)
That sounds like Kris Erik Steven, I think now days best known from "Movie Tunes" heard in many movie theatres, between shows. I sent him and E Mail asking him to confirm this.
I was looking for a full-on Prevue Tonight segment. The previous clip that had this segment had only the audio with advertisements replacing the video shown here.
Yeah; Prevue Guide was just that... a lot of previews. TVGC also doesn't let any local cable providers provide their own ads anymore! As Jerry Seinfeld would say, "What's up with that?" Prevue Guide was the cable listings channel at its finest.
Amen to that...and the best part about those local ads was how the Prevue Tonight bed would play, in the clear, under it...then after a promo or w/e, they'd pick up right where it left off! :-)
What a rip; at least Prevue was something to watch when there was nothing to watch - and I watched a hell of a lot of Prevue! I'm just glad to see remnants of it on YouTube...
As cheesy as that Muzak theme is, it sure brings back nostalgia growing up.

I remember how simple this used to be. I miss the the Prevue Channel and early TV Guide Channel. The current TV Guide Network sucks.

Wasn't this the theme song to either "Mac and Me" or "Munchie Strikes Back" but Dulce was great at Selling Furniture.
