  • What was the nitrous tank made of?

  • Specially machined aluminum, they are made as part of a system from HyperTek - I had one complete failure (see purple rocket in video - Boom!) but it was due to a frozen fuel grain - coulda been my own fault.

  • Why did it fail? You had a small safety factor or what?

  • Think the tank O ring froze, allowing liquid to escape into the grain - an ignited frozen fuel grain typically detonates.

  • frozen? why would it freeze, I thought you use nitrous oxide, isnt it so?

  • We do yes, but it is Liquid Nitrous Oxide - yes very potent stuff!

  • You keep it in aluminium tank under pressure right?

  • great

  • Where are you launching these at and what is the AGL of your flight waiver?

  • Most at Keohn dry lake bed, with a 10,000' waiver filed by Tripoli
