  • I love the sound of fire, police, and EMS vehicles. To hear the sound of the siren, even if it does wake me up, means that they are going to save someones life or help others. I will lose a little sleep for the welfare of others and not care at all. No one should. It is also good to hear the sirens because that means they are running a safe call and trying not to cause more accidents on the way.

  • u guys sure have a skilled female dispatcher ;-)

  • Ebay has a lot of choices, I have dash, rear bar(rear window) and hide-aways for my '01 Ford Expedition all for $350 and Free Shipping, the only thing I didnt buy from ebay was my siren which i got from galls.com.

  • there are many places to get lights on line. . . . e-bay has alot to bid or purchase on.

  • where could u get a lightbar like the one on that dodge parked in front of the truck there? im turning 16 soon, and im gonna volunteer.....cant wait!!

  • @NewHavenDrumline12 Are you doing it so you can get pretty lights or because you want to help people? I hope it's the latter.

  • @NewHavenDrumline12 That lightbar looks like a Code 3 MX7000. I would recommend looking on Ebay if you want a great deal, or you could go to Code 3.com and get a new one with all the customizations you might want or need.

  • @NewHavenDrumline12 it appeares to be a code 3 mx7000, u can look for them on Ebay.. but mite wanna just go with a smaller dash light to start off... the large light bars can run up to 2k + around 200-300 to get installed

  • to all the people complaining bout the use of the siren and Q. no matter what time of day/night it is your a suppose to use it if you are responding to an emergency. it is an emergency therefore you need to use it. and did yall ever find em?

  • @rebelfirecountryboy Thank you! I understand that it's annoying to be woken up by emergency vehicles late at night especially if one works all day. It's like my chief told us "I'd rather ya'll wake the town up and piss the town off with sirens and horns then not have anything and that one dumbass driver not pay you any attention and cause a wreck." No one here in town pays you anymind unless you rattle the car with an air horn... with ur truck on their bumper...

  • I wouldn't risk losing my job because the siren wasn't on and I didn't use the horn at an intersection. My heart goes out to people losing a few minutes of sleep.

  • @Matt218 Or someone doesn't see the truck and they get hit and then hurt or killed. Sorry, I'll wake people up too, it isn't worth someone dying over.

  • @Matt218 well your a jerk

  • Wow at least all the residents know to pull the fuck over in your town when they see and hear lights and sirens. Around here nobody respects that law.

  • ok well i dont think that the Q and the airhorn were needed @ 2230 at night....the regular siren was plenty enough given the traffic (or lack of). I would like to commend the driver on a very good and cautious display of emergency driving...he slowed/stopped at all intersections and was very good in exercising care in his driving abilities. Good job!!!

  • Not that you can do much about it, but why can't you start running code before the tones drop? What sense does that make? If you know a call is coming in, you know the tones are coming. It's just a matter of time before the dispatcher can do it.

  • @runhot0576 Because if there was to be an accident involving a responder while running code before the tones drop could result in higher liability

  • was the driver 10-55 and hid in the field?

  • so was the driver 10-55, ans hid in the field?

  • using the Q and airhorn on nothing... why? and how did they know to leave if they weren't toned out yet?

  • @aaronkundla he knew to leave because we have a direct line tied into the emergency line and we commonly answer along with the dispatcher

  • @470wpfd oh ok. Around here we can't respond at all until we're toned out.

  • @aaronkundla Here if we are going to a call we cant run code unless toned out he was headed that way when the call came in on the emergency line

  • @aaronkundla

I know that was kinda obnoxious to all those people sleeping when there weren't any cars at all on the road.

  • @bg1379 it is our city standards that when an engine is responding to a paged call they have to run lights and siren day or night

  • why not rolling code when you pull out?

  • @johnnykcks The tones didnt go off till he got to the 1st stop sign

  • 5 stars!!
