Could anybody at all help with this? On the 18th of January 211at about 19:10 in Plymouth UK I had my first look through a " quality amature" telescope. My friend focused it on the moon. (the moon was nearly full.) It was a fantastic sight. During one of my turns to take a look, I saw what I can only describe as a small round object that appeard to be slowing moving across the face of the moon. Any ideas? Hi there, if you look at the other side of the crater, you'll see similar lines, shorter, more of them. It's just the way the shadow falls on the rim at that particular time. I see different shapes too and even colour each time I observe the moon. It's lovely and mind boggling. Cheers, nice video by the way.

I do think that this (whatever it is) is weird. Download this video and snap a picture with nero and blow it up. It's more than a shadow. There is a post of a video on youtube (shot by NASA) of a huge object that was caught on their camera in 1968. From the video you will see and this is almost identical. I do agree that the shadows do not match up but we can't just say it's a shadow for 100% and leave it at that.
