I´ve been coming back to this video, I have two coments already. I personally think that intruder is so difernt from pretty woman to go as far as say that intruder should stand on its own, bright piece of musicianship. the drumming is awsome, powerful, to the point, guitar and base are badass...

Intruder was written because the song Pretty Woman was too short for the concept video the the band/director came up with. It was specifically written to take up time to match the filming of the Pretty Woman video.

I like all the Eddie versus Randy comments below. They were in "competition" with one another so to speak many years ago, way before Rhoads joined up with Ozzy. Hard rock music NEEDED both of them desparately back in the late '70's early 80's and it's very unfortunate Randy Rhoads had to leave us so early in his life. Top knotch musicians, both of them.

Rhoads was very good, but he definitely was not as varied or as good as eddie. Eddie introduced a lot of stuff that Rhoads picked up on and incorporated into his own music. No hard rocker had used harmonics a lot until Eddie did it and then everyone started copying him, same thing with the tapping and the tone. Lots of guys tried to imitate his tone, but nonse succeeded.

@ghostzapper2006 but rhoads has his own great tone. i actually prefer it because it has less presence on it. it's balanced more towards the low end and has less high end than van halens. sounds heavy as hell.

@dannysmokes73 Personally, I think Eddie was better than Randy in their primes. EVH's tone on "Fair Warning" hasn't been matched, IMO. His phrasing and rythmic acuity was better overall. Rhoads sounds like a supercharged Schenker to me. He was good, but not as good as Eddie - and I love Rhoads.
