ahhhh, so u hooked up your cell phone to your computer to tether it via usb from the cell phone, then turned your MAC into a hotspot via wifi…. really..?? What a waste of time…
@MrFriedchicken678 loooooooooooooooool! dude, PC or laptop, both have operating systems, it all depends on the operating system, no matter whether PC or Laptop. Plus, PC stands for 'personal computer' laptop also can be personal!
I think your PC need to be the source of connection. Your PC now is getting the connection from the router. However, if you use internet, for example, with a 3G modem, in that way you should be able to share your pc internet connection as it's going to be the source.
i was trying to run ps3 off of it, setting up the hotspot was a success but the signal was too weak to run the ps3's internet. worth a shot, great video

how do you do this on windows 7?
kaeoortiz 1 year ago
@kaeoortiz For internet sharing:
1. Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center
2. Under Change your networking settings, click Set up a new connection or network
3. Select Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network
4. Enter your Network name, and enter a Security key if wanted
5. Check the box for Save this network and click Turn on Internet connection sharing on next page
