The cast was great and there were some good moments. I LOVE Coupland, but let's be honest here: this show was a disaster. It was unfocused, oversaturated with plot, and lacking subtlety in every sense. This "save jPod" business is crazy.

I'm so weirded out that this exists. jPod is my favorite Coupland book but I never thought it was all that popular. Cowboy is different than I imagined, but the tv version of him seems like the most fun to watch out of all the characters.

I'm glad they got that actor to play the dad, too. The rest of what I'm seeing: a bit meh. I'll need to track down the dvd's to judge it, though.

So does Coupland make his cameo at the end of the season or do they not make it all the way through the book?

JPod is the book that got me into Douglas Coupland's novels.

I was so pumped to find out that it was going to has its time as a series..

I kept missing it, due to the terrible timeslot..

and now its canceled.

Why can shit like corner gas, and pointless comedys make the air, but when an amazing man with a brilliant novel arises, its canceled.

What a fantastic comedy. It really ticks me off to see the cancellation of a good Canadian program. So many crummy shows make several years on tv, yet intelligent comedy like this is axed after a few short months.

Maybe if CBC hadn't switched the timeslot to the dreaded Friday night, without any warning, this show would have more viewers than in does. Even our Shaw TV/HD program guide didn't update the change for a MONTH. We kept missing it, despite our efforts.

But all in all fantastic book. Hope this series is as good.
