@StarWarsFan786 Thanks for the info. Be nice to have the footage for a comparison of acting differences, especially to a Die Hard Star Wars fan! Oh well, not to be.
George probably should have been paunchy when we first meet him in the film. The transformation at the end of the movie would have been more dramatic.
From what I understand, Eric Stoltz's performance was "too intense," so the film wasn't as "lighthearted" as Zemekis wanted it to be. Imagine a SERIOUS BTTF? That'd be.... interesting.
@HenryHerman & @daycan1 he didn't gave permission to put those scenes in a special contents' dvd, so i think we'll unfortunately never see them. anyway, i thought he was just a second best, selected for the role of marty mcfly to replace m.j.fox if he hadn't managed to make Family Ties episodes at the same time; when finally fox managed to make both them, stoltz's scenes were just rejected... or not? :/
@daycan1 Yeah, from what I gather it wasn't a bad performance, just not as comedic as they intended... weirdly, he LOOKS much more like Crispin Glover's kid than Michael J. Fox.
bttf is one of the greatest movies, i have a 4 yr old and he watches all three bttf movies all day long one after the other and to tell you the truth it doesnt bother me at all , i think there great
what event was this recorded at? I attended 2 Q&As in los angeles. One for the original and another for II and III shown back to back. They never showed anything prior to the cast members coming out to take questions. Good stuff man, thanks for the upload.
I attended a special never-before-seen bluray digital screening of BTTF in Celebration, Florida in April of 2008. Bob Zemeckis, Chris Lloyd and two cast members were there. Prior to them coming out, as a time filler I suppose, they were showing these clips on the movie screen which I recorded with my cell phone, hence the crappy quality. But being a huge fan myself, and knowing I may never see these again, I had to capture them!
This is great - to me, it's like finding an outtake reel to Casablanca! I don't think the producers of the recent DVD's realized what a following BTTF has and wish they put out hours more of extras.
Nope. To my knowledge, these screen tests have never been seen by the general public. Wish I could've captured the audio with it, but it was just being shown as filler before the big Q&A session with Bob Gale and Christopher Lloyd started.
I hope they don't remake this movie with Will Smiths kid as Marty McFly.

i wish the clips of eric stoltz as marty would appear. i would just like to see what was so bad about his performance.
daycan1 2 years ago 29
It wasn't bad, it just wasn't the style that Robert Zemeckis wanted. Just didn't feel right.
