  • this is beautiful, Erin Go Bragh! i'm going to move to ireland when i turn 18, hopefully my girlfriend can come with me...may the Pagan gods bless Ireland and her people!

  • Omnes dii gentium daemonia sunt.

  • Its alright mate. We have enough trouble with the recession we dont need a devil worshipper !!

  • I have a question about this song. What does the chorus, "For Ireland I'd not tell her name/Ár Éireann ni niosfiann ce hi" is the narrator saying that if you gave him the whole isle of Erin, he'd not tell the audience who she is so they could pursue her? Or is there some deeper meaning?

  • In Irish history especially in historical songs such as this, Ireland has been refered to as a woman "Rosin Dubh" Etc, So you are indeed correct in saying, "is the narrator saying that if you gave him the whole isle of Erin, he'd not tell the audience who she is so they could pursue her"

    ;)

  • correct

  • with songs like this you never forget what irelands about, or who you are and what you come from. ireland forever.

  • Absolutely right, I had an Irish grandad who I never met, but my Dad was called Paddy all his life.

Lovely song by very talented band. Paddy Reilly has the voice of an angel too !

    Merry Xmas !
