I think B follows from A, the will of god supersedes other concerns. And, if, as you said, the Palestinians are occupying land that really belongs to the Jews, then the use of lethal force would be justified in order to evict them. If I am correct in saying that you believe both A and B, then, congratulations, you're Al-Queda. Or, the reason Al-Queda is bad is that they think they know what god wants, and they are willing to kill people to achieve this. These are qualities you share.

For instance, one of the motivations for the Madrid bombings in 2004 was that those responsible considered Spain a Muslim land, unjustly taken during the Reconquista. Or, that god wills for Spain (Al-Andalus) to be in the hands of Muslims, and killing people is an acceptable method of achieving this goal. Sound familiar? There are a large number of examples of other groups who thought they knew what god wanted, and that violence was a good way to achieve this, from the Crusaders to the KKK.

The British had a Mandate over the land which, by October of 1947, they no longer wanted. They took the matter to the U.N., who proposed to divide then Palestine, giving half to the Arabs & half to the Jews. Of course, the Jews responded with glee, celebrating in the streets of Tel-Aviv & Jerusalem. The Arabs responded with a resounding "no", looting & burning down Jewish owned shops the next day, & murdering Jews in the streets & on their buses. They had their chance in '47. They rejected it.

what is disgusting and disrespectful is the behaviour of the likes of hamas, and the pathetic and petty, xenophobic behaviour of jewish settlers in palestine. what safran is doing here is revealing the racist, reckless stupidity of the whole situation between palestine and israel, and he is making a symbolic attempt to reconcile the two, while subverting and mocking the dispute, which has raged for too long now. this man should be praised and considered a wise and morally sound person.

the pathetic and petty behaviour i speak of is things like settlers, too caught up in their own religious obsessions (as many palestinians also are), marching into land that is clearly part of palestine, and erecting houses on land that even their own government restricts them from entering. and what for? as a symbol of resilience? no. as a symbol of their inability to see humanity on a whole. the same goes for militant palestinians; both sides must reconcile for peace. enough is enough.

There's an rpisode of his previous series called John Safran vs. God where he turns up as Ronald McDonald somewhere in Sydney for a birthday party and got thrown out by staff (and chased by police) because he arrived a few minutes early. He claims to have got his revenge by registering the McDonalds name patent in Iraq (by writing to Mid East patent headquarters in Tehran, Iran). All of this occurred around the time when Gulf War 2 started earlier this decade.
