I think a considerable amount of those that hate on ions, are those that spend way too much on a fucking paintball gun, and kind of get a little bit annoyed when they were out gunned by someone who might have took more time and less cash to build a decent marker. Maybe I've grown bitter after playing this sport for quite a few years, but it annoys me to see something that grew out of good intentions into something of a dick measuring contest for those who want to display their markers value.

the ion was the beginning of the low priced, mid level electro pneumatic markers...Yes, they're are numerous companies out there NOW offering the same thing with dye's line of proto markers, invert, DP, Etec...why? maybe these companies finally jumped on the bandwagon of getting a decent priced marker out to the masses that can compete against trust fund babies and those with bigger budgets for this sport. We all know it's still better buying an ion than throwing away your money on a tippmann.

but they're dirt fucking cheap..yes they're ugly...but considerably more when you make them that way, out of the box they aren't horrible. Yes, you can put a stupid amount of money into it, as with you can most any marker. If you find one used for a 150-200 bucks with a virtue, freak kit, 360 qev, you actually have a decent marker that can compete with the rest. Who gives a fuck if the companies are ex-nazi's...do you feel remorse wearing clothes made by children from foreign countries?

@xPARADOXASAURx i own a paintball field me and my parents and grandparents (dfwpro.com) and i personally used an ion for 3 years... ive now upgraded to a dye nt and i honestly can say i really do love that ion it was very good and only about 500 bucks after the upgrades and ill admit they are very shitty out of box but when you upgrade them a little there very good recball markers and not high end there meant for the public and not pros its probly one of the most used and common paintball guns
