  • Karuta "cards" The basic idea of any karuta game is to be able to quickly determine which card out of an array of cards is required and then to grab the card before it is grabbed by an opponent. There are various types of cards which can be used to play karuta. It is also possible to play this game using two standard decks of playing cards.

  • Seems unanimous that it's Japanese, so find a Japanese restaurant, walk in during their off hours (after lunch/before dinner), and ask them wtf the cards say.

  • Did some Googling KingHuman. the only thing i came up with was something that looks simular. During WWII there was a set of cards used called Chinese-Japanese language character cards. I don't understand chinese or japanese, but some of the characters do look chinese. The color green might suggest military use. Here is the link to the the only thing i found on that. Only searched 10 minutes.

  • It is the game of the 101 poems it seems the idea it is that someone reads a part of the poem and the other guys try to guess with poem is... something like that I am sure...

    It is JAPANESE I recognize the hiragana so there`s a big clue..
