I found the price for one of these on another website and they're selling these guys for $3,333.00......yeah I'm not so sure this would be my first option lol
It might be a decent scope, but no scope is worth $4000.00. I just hope our military see's past this ridiculous extreme! There are too many other scopes that will do as well and for much less! I say boycott Leupold, don't buy their products and especially when some of their scopes don't even come with batteries...It's All Ridiculously OUTRAGEOUS!!!
I need a scope that will go out to 500 yards easly but I dont know anything about them also sorry about the double question I didnt kknow that was your vid also I just wanted some help
LOL that battery life question was easy enough. and he didnt have an answer. WOW. that is probably the first question anybody should have when it comes to lighted optics.
@stevenbuttermilk - Do you know specs on every battery ever made? Like he said don't be careless and forget to turn it off (which I have done many times myself) But always have backup batteries
Well...in his defense, a rep from a top optic manufacturer should be able to give at least a ball-park idea on battery life. You would think they performed a battery life test with a couple lithium ion type batteries to give the consumer an idea. That is why a lot of people are using optics with auto shut-off features. In a combat situation, you shouldn't have to think about turning your optic on/off all the time. Just food for thought.
@Derail07, Specs on Batteries ins't the issue here. Example, AIMPOINT and Eotech (new models) have circuitry that allow 10,000 hrs of barrety life. Other companies have "Auto Shut-Off". Point being, if this person is a company rep. He SOULD have those answers. A Soldier in Combat may not always have the time to "Remember" to turn these things off, and Keeping spares is a whole other thing when multiple men may run out, and Your spares become Everyones. Now, do you understand my comment ?
1st point is a pretty good one. One of the reasons I wish there was a better mechanism for mounting both a telescopic and an reddot on the same rifle. i've seen a few people do it by mounting the reddot off angle on the side of the ar15... still, it's kinda wierd to do it that way.
Sick mount brah!

Why wouldn't the Rep. know about the battery life if left on? He's there to sell a product right? Lame....

yeah great scope... but i think i would prefer the Schmidt & Bender 1-8-24 PM II ShortDot...
because it...:
1st: ... has real zero magnification ability (CC-Mode)
2nd: ... has better operationalbility as far as i can see
3rd: ... is avaibility here in germany is better (^^ i know...german product)
4th: ... looks sexier to me.... ^^

@Figue58 I will say that if you want one of these when they come out in the summer of 2011 according to Leupold, be ready to drop just over $2,000.00
blackjack427r 1 year ago
@Figue58 $4,000(ish) retail

@Figue58 Anywhere from $3000 - $5000, but is it worth it? I don't think its worth more than $1200; $1800 tops.
