Wasn't sure what you were talking about at first, but I was finally able to fing the Metronator on the internet, and this was exactly what I was talking about with the CRX. The Metronator has many pictures of it on a dragstrip, and I was finally able to find a dragstrip time on it: 6 seconds at over 200 mph. Not many cars going to challenge that. I wonder about the CRX if it wasn't totaled or something due to the fact that there are only 4 small clips of it 3 years ago, and then nothing since.

The biggest tires made won't help, the only thing this guy could do to make this car hook would be to stretch the front axle centerline forward of the front of the motor, but then it would loose it's charisma. (Been drag racing for 27 years, and I've seen this type of thing before) If you search the internet there are only 4 videos of this CRX, the earliest one I could find was around 2006. The lack of any video showing it either on a drag strip or racing another car pretty much says it all.

With the motor sitting almost completely in front of the front wheels (see other video) maybe he needs to put a rubber snubber under the front bumper to help him stop. Unless he's got a large piece of lead in the trunk there can't be much more than a few hundred pounds on the rear tires, because he's got 800 to 1000 pounds in front of the front tires.
