Why do people always drag race the Subaru STI? STi is a rally race car. Not designed for onroad racing.

the gtr awd is based on a rwd layout, on a straight line is basically a rwd car.. the awd system on the gtr sends power to the front wheels when the rear tires are losing traction... Fact. and the gtr does not have around 15-20 % of power loss to the all 4 wheels like subaru does... (if Im not mistaken)

generally the scooby does have a disadvantage on straight lane

@christophersaa its up to 25% (well thats what my r32 gtr is) and its controlled by a torque split converter - not by a traction sensor, so because my car was highly modded I was always dishing out alot of power so it was almost always at 25%. However you would be surprised how much of a difference that 25% makes bacuase I get great traction even running 380kw. It does also help that I am running 285 kumho ecsta's though lol. ps I have a 2008 wrx too :)

Nice skyline...buh hands down i think subarus take it :) they are lighter...and easier to build up...yeah.ive seen lots of vids where the skylines just build massive HPs..but ive also seen vids where people take EJs and just make em push 850 to 975 at the crank

yea exactly some retards think a car with 600cc less 2 cylinders less and 1 turbo less will be faster doh and the fact rb26 is one of the easiest tuned engines ever 400 hp stage one tune and 600hp on standard internals the only thing the subaru is better at is offroad the gtr was built for the track and it was banned from a few race series for being to quick

the gtr has a better awd system it runs in rwd when it has enought grip so less power lost throught the transmission than a chaveru and the chances of the cars having equal power is very unlickly my gtr with a hks exhaust decat 1 bar boost apexi ecu and apexi air filters is making 381hp the parts cost me 700 secondhand i bet a chaveru with 700 spent on it would be no where near 380hp if i upgrade the injectors fuel pump and chuck on a set of hks 2510 ill have 500+hp cost about 1500

If you guys listen and watch, the Subaru is obviously bogging horribly bad off the line, falling out of boost, and having to reclimb again.. The R33 undoubtingly outpowers it and is more responsive to mods than the boxer, but the Subaru needs a good driver to get that car rolling out. It's not just the cars - it's also the drivers.
