"Axodry" steht wie wohl kein anderer Name für Electropop "made in
germany". Grösstenteils produziert von DER Produzenten Legende AXEL HENNINGER (Camouflage, Moskwa TV, Micro Chip League, De/Vision uva.) waren "Axodry" einer der Vorreiterbands in Sachen eingängigem Electropop auf dem damals legendären WESTSIDE Plattenlabel.
"Axodry" is one of the well known names when it comes to electropop made in germany. Produced by famous german producer Axel Henninger (Camouflage, Moskwa TV, Micro Chip League, De/Vision and more.) "Axodry" was one of the main forces in the german electropop scene based at the legendary german WESTSIDE label. Hits such as "Feel it Right", "Surrender" or "You" are still most wanted tunes sold for fortunes of money at worldwide music fairs and through internet auctions.
It's a great song but it's hardly synthpop or New Wave. If it is, it's borderline...
Personally, I think it's Italo Disco. To make it even more confusing, it is on a techno/EBM compilation I have. What really matters is that it's a nice catchy tune...
I'll assume you're fairly young?? Because this whole categorization of sub-genres (new wave, ebm etc.) is a modern construct. If u were around during the 80's, like me, this was considered in the realm of "New Wave". In fact, underground Clubs's played eveything "new wave, industrial, punk, , basically anything non-mainstream out at the time. It's not until the advent of the internet that everything starting having very specific labels.Totally poo! (RIP Medusa's in Chicago '84-'92)
@snuggie007 That's not true. As a DJ from back then, if you bought records from a big city record store you would have everything categorized differently. Cetu Javu and Axodry would have been under belgium or german Techno or Electronic Body Music. There were tons of sub-genres. Just find an old copy of Street Beat of DMM and you'll see in the reviews. Doesn't really matter though. It's all good music to me.
