You're a little confused. The experiment you are describing is a fairly common and useful one used to test spacial memory in rats and the effects drugs or procedures have on that memory. It's a primary experiment used in the search for Alzheimer's drugs. And it's just a dye in water, not paint.

Thanks for your update but why on earth is the Mars Group testing Alzheimer's drugs? Something wrong there, surely? I have been unable to get any answer from Mars about this and their secrecy only makes me more suspicious and thus I do not and will not feed any Pedigree product to my six rescued dogs. Like most dog foods, it's only got rectums, snouts and eyelids in it anyway. And what are those long pink ribbed tubes, bits of someone's windpipe?

I always thought that wild alpha canines went for the liver first and the rest of the pack beta downwards fought and scavenged for what they could get, which would of course involve internal viscera but I don't expect to pay top wack for those ingredients in the food I buy for my group of dogs. I was certainly surprised to see that you found Mars are involved in actual medical research. Thank you. It puts me off the company even more!

They have nothing to do with each other. Don't worry, I understand the confusion. In fact, a quick search on Google showed 5 companies called "Mars" that have nothing to do with each other. You're mixing your Mars's.

pedigree is not good for the dogs. their meat is made up of by-products which is harmful. it also contains corn that only servers as a filler (dogs can't digest corn) and grains (cause of allergies. it is rated as a 1-star dogfood by dog analyst.
