Here's a good Idea, how about set the lever to a specific frequency. Allow me to explain.
Since the reciprocating frequency of the lever is twice that of the pendulum, would it be more efficient to put a spring on the lever and we tune both, such that, as the pendulum resonates, the lever resonates as well. That way we have ourselves a two-stage Resonator.
@okayillgonow A pendulum is self timeing the sesonce is adjusted by the leingth. the lever resonince is automaticly set to the resonince of the p[endulum and IS twice that of the pendulum.
would it be possible to use the spinning direction of the bottom wheel to assist the swing of the weight? I noticed the white point on the wheel reaches the edge of the weight at about the same point...I may be way off the mark, just my 2 cents worth.
Here I go again making demands on your precious time. Why not a short video entitled all I have Learned about the two stage Oscillator. Just stand on camera and speak, it would help us all.
I am a bit surprised you are still interested in this device if you say it is not overunity, as the the math you quote suggests otherwise. Try this. Use a known weight to pull the pendlm one way using a string and plley. on the back stroke, lift this weight up to a stop of known height. Thus exact input is known.Ratchet wheel drives a winch to lift a known weight a known distance. Thus input & output are known. I know you are busy, but this test reveals all.Congrats on work so far.
Hope you are still experimenting with this. To get ideas on simple escapements, look up lego escapements on youtube. My idea is to use a spring driven escapement and constantly re-wind it from the lever outpt. The escapement wheel needs to be mounted on a bracket that remains vertical when the lever moves. This could be done by a second lever mounted above the first, on it own pivot. Link the two levers with a vertical link at one end to form a parallelogram. Mount escapement on vertical link.
I own a construction co. And my work load doubled right after I made this video. Things have slowed a bit and I am working on an escapment idea of sorts. The machine does put out more energy than it takes to run it. IT DOES NOT create energy. It simply changes potential energy to kinetic energy.
Good luck with your project. If you need any help. You know where to find me.
@RHEAD100 "The machine does put out more energy than it takes to run it. IT DOES NOT create energy. It simply changes potential energy to kinetic energy." Looks like you slept through physics classes. LOL
Instead of the chain and the bicycle freewheel why not a one sided arm like a locomotive? this way you get power on both up and down stroke. Also, solid pendulum arm transfers more power than rope. Best of luck. I am building similar device. Will post if any success.
nice work, if i might add something it would be another solid bar on the left placed 2 inches below the lowest point of the pivit arm and put a coil spring on the pivit arm. with the right timing(placement). gravity and mass (bucket) push the spring down on the on the way up, and the spring should help put that energy to motion
You are 100% correct ! The bungee cords pulling on the other end of the chain allow for too much up and down motion in the pendulum. The math of the levered power bar is Proportional. However; The math for the energy to keep the pendulum swinging in comparison to the movement up and down, is exponential.
Example; If the power (lever) Bar is a 1 to 1 ratio and allowed to move 2 inches and lifted 20 pounds that would be 40 inch pounds of Kinetic energy.
Now let's say that the pendulum required a 5 pound force For 10 inches (it actually requires much less) to keep it swinging. This would be 50 inch pounds in and 40 inch pounds ( does not sound all that great HUH )
Now comes the Conundrum ; Cut the movement up and down by 50%. You reduce the power out by 50% . BUT, at the same time you reduce the power needed to keep the pendulum swinging by 60% to 65 % . After you do the math on this one. Cut it another 50% and when you do the math on that one. If you don't through your head back and say HOLY COW , I'll buy you a six pack , your brand.
Keep up the good work. If you search on "Green Steam", you will see an interesting way to convert reciprocating motion to rotary motion.

Milkovic has springs in his small prototypes. re: his videos.

Is it ok if you could show me? I didn't see them in his videos.

Also, was the natural frequency the spring-and-lever part of the two-stage oscillator twice that of the pendulum frequency?

I am building similar device. Will post if any success.
Thank You, Thank You.
You have no idea how great that sounds to me.
I was starting to think I was the only one that could see the potential of this devise.
Success or not, Pleas post anyway.
Unseccessful atempt at anything means only that you have learned what not to do.
I will, at your request, Tell you EVRY THING I have learned so far.
