Thanks for sharing this recipe. I have made a time consuming (Tikki Masala) but this is way easier to make and it looks good. Will be cooking this soon.
Thanks for the video! If i add regular onions and fry them before the chicken will it change the texture or taste? I mean do u add the fried onion later o ly to save time? Thanks for responding!
@Ariadnecellist : Yes, you can. Traditionally, it is made with boneless but it can be made with bones as well. If you are cutting the chicken pieces small, it will cook faster but the taste will be good either way :)
hi shilpa here. i made this recipe yesterday. no words to tell u how fabulous it was. super, fantastic, mind blowing, delicious, my hubby like it like anything. please do post some more such a easy n yummy dishes. thanks a lot lot an lot.

Anuja and Hetal, thanks a lot for this wonderful recipe! I tried it and and it come out so well....especially the thick gravyy. Thanks also to Anuja's mom :)
Hey...Thanks for the awesome recipe..hwever i would like to knw whether the crushed tomatoes are the canned version or did u make fresh puree at home?
Your recipes are wonderful but could you use better microphones, so we can hear your instructions clearly. I believe you are Gujerati ladies, so Khem Cho?
Yes, Paneer is a great substitute for vegetarian. We suggest you go easy on the vinegar or just eliminate it altogether for the Paneer. It may end up being too tangy.
It is not supposed to be a 'curried' or gravy dish. But feel free to add in extra water (more than what we added) and you have yourself a gravy! Enjoy!

what would be a good substitute to adding in the fried onions?
I have allergies to fried foods.
would cornstarch work to get the sauce to stick to the meat?
TsukiKKun 2 years ago
You can add Onions at the beginning, the flavor would be different but still taste good.

Does this work for lamb too?
ironbuttermilk 2 years ago
It works excellent with lamb! You may have to marinate a little more (overnight) and cook a little more.
Enjoy!

Hmm Vinegar in chicken? I'm curious, what is the role of Vinegar in the marination?
jingabobo 2 years ago
Vinegar makes food tangy. Kind of like how lemon/lime can be used for a similar purpose.
ExstacyQueen 2 years ago
its an acid, it breaks the protein down; that makes the meat tender and allows it to absorb more of the marinade's flavor.
TarotLadyLissa 2 years ago 3
That is correct, Vinegar is a tenderizer. Helps absorb the marination and that is what makes the chicken so tender!
