Truth is what the Ultimania says. And Advent Children was never intended to be a Final Fantasy VIII film. It was intended to show that Sephiroth still can come back to introduce a Final Fantasy VII-2 and now with Genesis there are even two villains, if Genesis really is a villain in the sequel. However there will be a sequel like 2008 was said "The Compilation's final will be something different" and not Crisis Core. That is what Advent Children is for.

But you must not forget that everything what Square Enix tells their fans in any possible way, that means the Final Fantasy itself, the Ultimania, the interviews, the films and so on, are the plain truth and so you can't deny it. Therefore, you can never exactly "know" that something is like it looks like, when it's not clearly mentioned by the creators. And it wasn't mentioned.

CrimsonVermillionEye, Cloud and Tifa have no relationship, not even a sexual one. I have the Ultimania and I can read japanese and the Ultimania Omega clearly says the opposite. Of course she supports Cloud and there are emotions. But there is no couple and it was meant to be like that in Advent Children.

Cloud and Tifa were never a thing. Aerith and Zack were a thing of the past but so was Rinoa and Seifer. Cloud and Tifa living together, watching over orphans doesn't necessarily imply something more than friendship. All we know is that they're family to one another and that 'family' in this instance is defined by Tifa as friends who can rely on each other in times of need. Even Barret considers Cloud and Tifa family and was living with them before deciding to go search for oil :/

Did you know that the fight scenes are longer in the Japanese version? The DVD I have has the English and the Japanese versions on it, we just watch the Jap version with eng subs. :)

Thats actually untrue- what you consider the "longer jap version" is actually justa different version of the movie, named instead of just advent children, "Advent Children Complete". its basicallly like a directos cut of sorts, an extended cut of the film.

@FlameG102 @FlameG102 No it's not the "complete" version I don't have that one, just the older original "Advent Children" DVD. You can only get "Advent Children Complete" on blu-ray. I would LOVE to see the complete version, but even if I did buy it, I have no way to watch it, so there is very little point. :(

But I am very serious, the Jap version has scenes that the Eng version doesn't on the original DVD.

You know, I agree. But what I think they actually did was actually record real footage like that and put the computer graphiced cloud driving in it. The close up shots are all CG, but I doub the far away shots are. It's too expensive to draw/texture all that scenery only for it to be used in the credits and not have any close ups of it or anything...
