Jailbreaking is not illeagal just because Apple says so. If Sony said it is illegal to turn my camera into a video camera, would that be illegal. We can go on for days about different companies and scenarios. Apple doesn't make the law. They just make great products and we can make them better if we want. We bought their device. I can turn it into whatever I want. If you want any info on a complete iphone/ipod, just ask.

I'm truly sorry that it is illegal. I only jailbroke mine just for the Beautiful things you can do with it!! Custom backgrounds...wow, I LOVE it...I buy all my apps from the app store...I maybe have 100 different apps, but not all my phone at the same time...I take some off when I don't need them for a while and put others on...I LOVE Catergories in Cydia. Thats where I can custom my apps so my pages don't look cluttered!! So, it's not for stealing apps for me...it's CUSTOMIZATION!! Thanks!!

First of all IT IS NOT ILLEGAL - YET. Apple DOES NOT make the laws. They filed a COMPLAINT to the FCC about this alleged 'copyright infringement'. Second, laws have to be passed to support this claim, if it is upheld and I'm almost positive this will go to through the court system as well - before this is OFFICIALLY ILLEGAL. I'm not restoring my iphone which is MY choice. I bought it and I will do with it what I want. Apple won't ever change that - period.

The only way i would stop jail breaking is if Apple made the ipod more Customizable. And for the Canadian users to be aloud to use their purchased Itunes gift cards to purchase apps.
